A cruise is what you make it. Try to enjoy and you will. Try not to have too high of expectations, it’s not the Ritz and you will have fun. Do lots of research beforehand, YouTube is your friend.

We had a wonderful time on this ship. Adults check out the serenity deck. It’s one of the best ones of all the ships I’ve been on. They have hammocks and various other specialty loungers. We spent a lot of time here!!

Get to the Serenity deck EARLY! It’s the only Serenity with a pool and seats go FAST. Love it there!

Take time to talk with the wait staff and stewards. They are dedicated and fascinating people.

Eat in the Havana bar. It is cooler back there because most people don't know you can eat there. This is also where the egg stations are. You can get plain fried eggs you do not have to get an omlet. Most importantly, enjoy spending time with your family on vaction!

If you order liquor double check your box before you leave because carnival doesn’t care if it’s right they just want you to get your liquor and leave

Don’t bother. You have to pay extra for any of the decent things they offer. It was a cheap cruise. You get what you pay for.

Don't sail during summer if you're not "kid friendly"....we had over 1,000 kids on board and the pools and buffets were extremely overcrowded.
