Great overall trip. Some of the weather sucked but there’s nothing you can do about that! We made the most of it. Ended up drinking 103 drinks with the cheers package between my wife and I so we def got our monies worth!
Embarkation

We arrived at the port at 10:20 having hit zero traffic etc. We were guided to the tent to pay and guided to the next tent for luggage drop off. After parking we went to the check in building. Our check in was 12-1230. We didn’t have FTTF and we were still on board with drink in hand at 1130am. Absolutely smooth process

Food and Dining

We ate in the dining room 3 times and had a great experience. All the servers were kind and funny. They always kept our drinks full. A lot of different options if you’re willing to venture out of your comfort zone. Buffets were good. The guys at the pizza place deserve a raise for the hours they work!
Onboard Activities

With Charleston being a “silent port” it did suck not doing a sail away party outside. With Sunshine being a smaller ship having the events like that in the atrium is very cramped.
Our comedians were great. Glad they did some shows in the liquid lounge!
Entertainment

A great variety of things to do. Comedy clubs were packed and hilarious. Just show up early and you’ll get a seat. Not a lot of outdoor events on our cruise due to the weather.
Service and Staff

Everyone seemed happy and willing to help/answer questions. Our room steward was always smiling and asking how our day was.
Ship Quality

No complaints. For a ship with some age on it I would expect a little wear and tear. But it adds to the character of the boat.
Cabin / Stateroom

Interior cabinet. Basic and served all our needs. We were hardly in it but to sleep and change clothes.
Ship tip
Show up early to ANY event you plan on attending. Don’t be mad if you don’t and there is no where to sit!
This is why we went in this cruise! Our second time to HMC. Got a cabana this time around and it was worth ever cent. Having a place to leave your stuff is great. We had a Bluetooth speaker set up and partied all day between the water and cabana.
Absolutely smooth. The people who complained I could tell had no idea what they were supposed to do anyways. Get a luggage tag at the anytime doing area and don’t procrastinate. The ones mad were the ones who wasted time getting low number tags. We were off the boat and in our car very quickly.
