I HATED this trip. I spent a lot of money and there were very limited food selections and options, poor activities for children and was not LGBT friendly at all. Very little communication about tax and duty experiences when shopping in the Bahamas, and very poor options of shopping experiences onboard. There was very little communication overall, no communications about the options of when and how to take picture selections from the staff; I will never travel with Carnival again. The trip was so bad, I would not take another trip with them if they offered it for free.
Embarkation

I did not enjoy this process; the entire lack of communication was taxing to say the least; will never take another carnival cruise trip again.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food was horrible; there was no variety; for the cost of my trip for my family, there was very little variety; drinks were fine, but the overall experience with food districts from the drinking experience—which was fine.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
I attended each event to ‘get involved with the experience” and it was sub-par overall. There was one advertisement on the ship not affiliated with the cruise, and it was still not made available because the activity by the cruise ship moved it out of the venue and didn’t replace it in another section. There was no communication about this at all. My son did not enjoy the “camp” because he was forced to play with other kids who were not “home trained” or failed to display respect for the other students and staff with their use of profanity.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
I did not enjoy any of these activities, as they were not geared towards everyone on the trip, just one demographic of travelers.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
He only enjoyed swimming, he hated all the other activities, which ever ones made available for the kids.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
This was ok. Nothing higher than this rating, as the communication seemed to be on a need to know basis. The room steward was the best example of communication and service overall on this trip. Everyone else was just ok.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
I did not like this ship. It seemed old and dated, the deck was not clean, and there was a lot of noise each night for some unknown reason. The layout was ok.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
It was too small for 3 people and the balcony was not clean.
Ship tip
Do not take the trip with Carnival. I had a horrible time and the communication was very poor, especially when we went ashore. For the cost of my trip, I would have expected there to be more activities, a variety of food choices, and better service. Is will NEVER take another cruise with Carnival again.
Didn’t even go off because I was having such a terrible time. Didn’t want to leave the ship. It was nice being on the ship with less people because everyone was on the island.
I love how you say it isn’t LGBT friendly, then mention that you took your son on board... please explain how that happened if your gay? You’re just a troll who has a grudge with Carnival and have nothing better to do with your time than try to hurt people... I think you need to relax and enjoy life. Be thankful you live in a free country and have the opportunity to travel!
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the cruise. Remember you are not the only person they have to cater to. So maybe if fairies flying around wrapped in glitter to lead you to your LGBT meeting would that have done it for you? I am not a Carnival CL fan but I still had fun every night. I danced, went to the shows and ate what I found to be the best. People it's only a week, you got to get it right the first time around. When you have that negative experience, you have to report it in writing to the hotel manager forthwith. Then it becomes his problem and they will answer it out somehow and try and get you back on track to a fun time. Don't sit and stew over B/S it's only a week so get it right and have fun. Happy cruising to all!
Been on the Sunshine 4 times never had a bad experience. As for LGBT had you read your daily news letter as what to do the next day you would have seen that Carnival has meet and greet and activities for you. You need to do a different type of vacation.
I would get your review if you said, “this was my first cruise and didn’t know what to expect. Apparently cruising isn’t for everyone.” But to say that every single aspect of your vacation was miserable is beyond. Please explain how you perceive The Hasbro game show not be inclusive to all demographics? No variety of food? The Sunshine has great FREE options for lunch. And then to slam HMC? B- Please!!! So you either are the troll that everyone says you are, or you need more rainbows and puppies in your life. Seriously.
I'll be cruising on Carnival this year and next.Reviews are nice but ultimately we make our own decisions and that can mean to enjoy or not.I do hope that you will enjoy your next cruise on another line.
