I really felt like this cruise was a rip-off. The cruise it self was a gift and it still ended up costing me a fortune for crap I would normally never pay for. This was definitely NOT my idea of a fun, relaxing vacation. I will NOT go on another Carnival Cruise. I wouldn’t even accept it as a gift again. Thanks, but no thanks.
Embarkation

Chaotic and very crowded. I really felt like we were cattle being hearded.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The main dining room was good and Guy’s Burger Joint was good. The buffet on the Lido deck was a disaster. Crowded, chaotic, and full of lots of subpar food that would have made me ill the whole trip if I ate it. We had a horrible experience on embarkation day and didn’t eat there again for the whole cruise. I even have other guests complain about the bad food making them sick, too.
Onboard Activities

We enjoyed the Trivia sessions. The Bingo was a total racket. $40 for 3 games of Bingo is ridiculous. They went painfully slowly, for some reason thinking their stupid jokes and boring banter was entertaining. The last game had 2 winners and the jokers running the game split the prose between the 2 instead of awarding BOTH winners the full prize. Y’all need to go to Vegas or to an Indian Reservation to see how to do it right. It was lame, boring, and a total rip-off. Played once and didn’t go near it for the rest of the cruise.

Under par. I had really expected better.
Service and Staff

Our housekeeper Lowell, and our 2 waiters in the main dining room, Franklin and Raviraj were all AWESOME.

It was clean but crowded.
Ship tip
Don’t bother. You have to pay extra for any of the decent things they offer. It was a cheap cruise. You get what you pay for.
I agree, what crap was it that you paid for that you normally wouldn't. Please be a little more specific and maybe we'll be a little more sympathetic for you.
I will only have one meal on the Lido deck and that's on embarkation day and then it's in the MDR.
Try to understand that there is 3,000 other passengers on that ship all trying to eat in that 3 hour window and it's gonna be crowded and best thing to do is relax, enjoy your free cruise. A bad day at sea beats your best day at work.
Have A Nice Day.
I am curious, what was the “crap” you paid for that you wouldn’t normally? If you wouldn’t normally pay for it, why did you this time? Like anything in life, a cruise is what you make of it.
It must be terrible to wake up each morning and look at yourself in the mirror knowing how miserable you are going to be all day. I feel sorry for you.
I have no idea why you ended up paying so much, the last three cruises I have been on I have actually gotten refunds. I always put $100 on account and so far I have gotten a refund. I don't spend money of I don't have to. Since I don't drink much I am probably saving a lot just there. I always purchased the bottomless soda package so that right there help me.
Sorry you hated it. However if given as a gift you shouldn't be rude about it.
I guess cruising isn't for you. I just hope the person who was generous in getting this cruise for you doesn't see your review. I would be very happy if somebody treated me to a cruise. Sorry you didnt enjoy.
Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. I am not sure what you paid extra for. We rarely purchase anything that is not included in the base price of the cruise, other than gratuities, and have a great time.
