I didn't expect to have such amazing time on this cruise. I expected a nice vacation but this cruise exceeding my expectations. The staff and service was amazing and the crowd was so full of life with good vibes. There were no delays and crew members were outstanding. Thank you carnival sunshine and a huge shoutout once again to LEIGH! God bless!

Crowded ship, but great weather and ports visited! I would do these stops again, but would choose a different ship. Wait staff works very hard. Thanks Carnival!

I've traveled all over but never via cruise ship. Can't wait to do another. Loved disconnecting from every day life. This was the first time in 20 years that I didn't travel with a laptop computer to get work done while away. I also didn't purchase an internet plan for my phone. It was basically just used to communicate with my fiance and take pictures.

First of all there are too many passengers for the size of the boat !!!!!! Everything is overcrowded, At the shows people can not find seats. There is not enough seats in the theater. Line jumping is rampant, carnival crew does nothing to stop it,even after being informed of this. I have been on a few carnival ships before this one,I will never go on carnival again. I would not recommend this ship to my worst enemy. We got to Puerto Rico late and most of the excursions were cancelled. We got out of St. Thomas late and had to cut short the amount of time in Grand Turk. There should be some form of compensation for this. At one point the hot tubs were cold.Carnival people didn't,t even know this had to be told. The whole trip was very stressful. To start off we were in the muster position for at least an hour they could not find everybody. The food at the buffet was fair at best. I am a senior citizen and retired, money is not so easy to come by. My wife and I saved up for over a year to go on this cruise. I really in my heart feel , sorry to say I squandered my money. Everyday the pools were full and the hot tubs full beyond capacity could not get in. Too many people for the amount of space.

Unorganized and lengthy arrival and departing the ship. Not enough activities or showtime options. Food was never seasoned. Even the popcorn for the dive in movie was blan. Servers were friendly. Photos was horribly over priced and they didn't offer any package deals. Hated how long it took to get a drink with both kinds of drink packages that was prepurchased. Rooms were really small compared to other cruise ships I have been on. Teens were able to get drinks some how on the ship even though they were carding people they felt looked under age instead of everyone. We saw numerous teens in the night clubs leaving with us but they looked older than my husband and myself. It made the night club outings seem a little sleazy instead of classy. Going back to Royal Caribbean from now on. 

The favorite part was my daughters wedding in the limelight lounge food/ presentation / dj were wonderful however  there was a box for cards and that went missing never to be found and my daughter lost out on those gifts- they did tell her she would be contacted by carnivals main office in Miami however has not heard anything yet! We loved JJ , Sean ,and Mahalo the photographer. We were not happy about getting into 2 of our ports late (2 hours).The food outside by the pools was great- Guy Fieris ,blue iguana ,and the Asian cuisine and although the food in the MDR was good service was so slow- we would be waiting for our main meal while other tables were done with dessert. Every night we would be leaving our early seating and the late seating was trying to get in - this had not been the case on previous cruises.

The service but all of the staff was amazing !the cruise Director Leigh did a great job keeping everyone entertained and informed during our days at sea there was so much to do...comedy shows , dancing, live music trivia and other family games

Pool much too small! Comedy club much too small! Main show room much too small! Mass chaos on disembarkation! Food very good! Comfortable room! Several rude servers in the casino!

This was a great cruise for us because we love the ports. We had been to them numerous times before so we have our favorite places to go. As usual, the crew, the food and the entertainment were all great.

I wish I had more information about my stateroom before we boarded could have used a larger room with my family. We had a great time even though we arrived late in 2 of our destinations. My son especially enjoyed the waterslide on board. We had many fantastic dining experiences. The Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse was AMAZING! My second favorite spot was the Shake Spot!

A lot to do on a mid size ship!  Only thing missing is a rock wall, which they should put up in place of the basketball court overrun by rude teens.  The sport area really needs better supervision to keep the teens off the pool tables and just lounging around being disrespectful.  The water slides are really nice and higher than expected and fast!  The adult serenity area is really big and one of the nicest at sea.  But, the rooms are so tiny!  The shop is showing its old age everywhere and it does smell in different areas as many people note.  The capacity for passengers really needs to be lowered.  Lines are too long and not enough seating for buffet.  The line for guest services is ridiculously long all day!  Leigh is really great as the Cruise Director, Room steward was awesome, but dining waiters over extended.  Extremely dissapijnted Carnival did away with the free lobster, that was a staple of cruising! Nice ship for kids and those wanting lots to do and not worried about quality.  Our third Cruise line, but we will not Cruise with Carnival again or even suggest it unless you need a cheap getaway.  

It was our first cruise experience and we had a wonderful time! Our Freeport tour started out rainy, and we rode past many rundown buildings. Overall the trip was great! Our stingray encounter was amazing! Everyone aboard the cruise ship was very friendly and courteous. We were treated exceptionally well.

The staff on the ship were fantastic for the most part, especially the cabin, entertainment and food service.  The pool areas are too small for the number of people on the ship.  It was blazing hot and the pools were jammed with people.  The alcohol service is slow but there were a ton of people ordering because it was so hot outside.  The food is pretty bland to accommodate all types of people and the Marketside Buffett was jammed every morning and it was challenging to find seats to eat.  I suggest the Havana Bar - rarely crowded. It was nice that the staff knew who our all of the members of our party were and knew them by name - nice touch.

The entire experience was great. The only issue I experienced was the disembarkation. If you did not carry your luggage off the ship, the process took at least 3 hours or just waiting to be released. Besides that I could find absolutely nothing wrong.  

My favorite part of the cruise was dinner in the dining room.  The service there was great. Very friendly and quiet atmosphere. 

Our stateroom was very nice.  Every night around 10 to 12 the area above us was noisy. Sounded like the whole floor above us was moving furniture, chairs, and a lot of other heavy furniture.  Not to mention the people in the halls screaming at each other till all hours.

The ship was over crowded, loud and very unfriendly.  The crew was very busy. Could hardly move around freely because of all the people. 

It was our first time cruising with Carnival and it will be the last and talking with others on the ship they felt the same way.

I would never recommend any time dining for any guest. The staff was extremely rude in the dining and the children never received kids menus or any entertainment. I've made calls and talked to guest services and from what I can see so far nothing will be done. I do not see myself cruising with Carnival again . On the last day of the cruise I broke my toe into my foot and was not even able to get ice. My husband had to go to the drink station get me ice and and wrap it in a washcloth. My disappointment is deep and I've never had this type of treatment with Carnival and never thought I would. 

The entire staff was wonderful, our accommodations were clean and comfortable.  Penrumpa made us feel welcome in the casino from the moment we arrived and knew us by name within 5 minutes!  The best part is that my husband and I don't gamble but we came to the casino many times just for the great conversation and wonderful hospitality.  Our waiter Hector made sure we left dinner with a smile on our faces every night!  We will definitely cruise again!

Carnival sunshine was fantastic. My family and I was exstreamly satisfied with our cruise. The staff was wonderful. The food was amazing, guys burgers was my favorite! Loved our Balcony, it was nice to set out there and enjoy watching the sun come up. Our cabin was always clean, Our guy took good care of us. Our first cruise was what we expected and much more. Thanks to cruise one and carnival for giving us our first great cruise vacation.looking forward to our next vacation with cruise one and carnival.

My wife and I took this cruise with no idea what to expect, to our surprise we were over whelmed with all the entertainment, food at your leisure, and such a courteous staff. Our transition on and off the ship went smoothly. The total experience was great, would be booking another cruise, and I definitely would recommend the Carnival Sunshine to all, big ups to cruise director Leigh, this guy is simply amazing.

This was my 5th cruise, but my wife and 4yo sons first.

The ships was nice enough, but very disappointed with a few things.

- Food portions were all very small, unless you served yourself. At breakfast I was given 1 piece of bacon, and 2 potatoes. My wife asked for 3 personal pizzas at the outside pizza shop and was told "no only 2, get back in line for another"

- Lines for everything. Food, drinks, excursions, guest services, etc. Way too much of my vacation was spent waiting in a line.

- No customer service. Wandered around the dock in the heat waiting for someone to help us find where our beach  excursion was leaving from with no Carnival staff anywhere around to help.

- The adults only area was very nice, but why do they have an area that's so much nicer then the rest of the outdoor areas on the ship? Padded lounge chairs, covered hammocks, enclosed private cabanas! Did they pay more then people with kids to use this?

- Food quality was dissapointing, buffet reminded me of the college cafeteria food. Main dining room was a little better, but shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were tiny, and my surf and truf that you had to pay extra for was good but the lobster tail was the size of a jumbo shrimp.

- Smoke filled cassino was right off main mez and kids had to walkthrough to easily get to other areas of the ship, my son called it the stinky area.

The good

- Drink prices not bad, bar staff friendly

- Burger shop was great!

- Ricardo who cleaned our room was excellent! Best service of the cruise.

Overall we made our own fun on the ship and are ready to go on another cruise but just not a Carnival.
