Review summary

My favorite part of the cruise was dinner in the dining room.  The service there was great. Very friendly and quiet atmosphere.

Our stateroom was very nice.  Every night around 10 to 12 the area above us was noisy. Sounded like the whole floor above us was moving furniture, chairs, and a lot of other heavy furniture.  Not to mention the people in the halls screaming at each other till all hours.

The ship was over crowded, loud and very unfriendly.  The crew was very busy. Could hardly move around freely because of all the people.

It was our first time cruising with Carnival and it will be the last and talking with others on the ship they felt the same way.

We loved the Sunshine - our favourite ship so far! Sorry to see you didn't find the crew to be friendly like we did. We were always greeted with a smile and " hello" "good morning" etc. As for the noise, it's always good to have the deck plans in view when choosing your stateroom to see what is above. Every ship or hotel can have problems with inconsiderate noisy guests - not the ship's problem. As for over crowding- ships always sail at full capacity.

Carnival has gone with the American table menu and concept. No tablecloths except on elegant night. Still great food and THE BEST staff on the water.!!😎😎

What is the dining room tradition ??

We cruised on Sunshine last November. It does have a lot of people on it for sure. But all the food was great and although I said that next time we would try another ship, we booked our next cruise for November 2018 on.....Sunshine! 😀...in the same cabin! I do wish Carnival had not done away with their dining room tradition though.
