Great cruise, great attention

BIG-took a while to get oriented. fairly nicely appointed,our room was very nice and it had a big enough balcony to sit and enjoy. Jacuzzis could have been a bit hotter

The ship is not one of my favorites the decor is rather "Loud" and I heard a lot of negative comments on the decor....however,, it was very clean and comfortable, the serenity deck was very nice and peaceful.

Stateroom service was the best! Seemed like the rooms were cleaned 24/7. Although our room was the size of a box. Dining was great. Food was good and we didn't have to wait for a table. Loved Camp Carnival and lots of activities for kids to do. Great shows that were clean enough for kids to enjoy. Too much selling of everything (pictures, services, and mostly alcohol). Is it even appropriate to push the alcohol cart around the buffet area during breakfast..where children are?? We know where the bar is.

This was a wonderful cruise, the service was excellent, there was alot to do, loved the Serenity Deck and The Adult Pool

The ship is beautiful...this was my 3rd time aboard. The food is excellent. The staff is superb. The activities director was entertaining and the Club O2 Director, Matt, (for 15-17 yo's) was phenomenol!

first time cruise experience was good

Clean, too much like Las Vegas, easy to move around, crowded pools, nice rooms, great staff, good exercise room, nice bars, good sound stage.

Overall, the cruise was fun and relaxing. Staff were helpful, the activities were fun, the layout was convenient, and the staterooms were lovely. I felt that the liquor policy was too draconian: forced to pay excessively for all drinks, which were small portions and expensive to start with. No reason that travelers should not be allowed to bring in [at least some of] their own alcohol. The "safety" excuse that we were given was completely false and disingenuous. This left a bad feeling from the beginning that was very hard to shake for the duration of the cruise. It encourages people to figure out ingenious ways of getting their own spirits aboard. Shopping on board was also extremely limited. Why not carry magazines and a larger selection of books, since reading is such a major activity? Wny not carry more sundries and basic amenities (cosmetics, writing supplies, flashlights), etc.? Too much "Carnival" logo merchandise, not enough other options. Needed more basics, fewer luxury things. I also had a problem with the gratuity pollicy. I had two $70 gratufities added to my bill, after having 15% gratuities added on to everything before that. I realize that staff need to be appropriately compensated but the cruise line should do that. I want to tip staff when the service merits it. Finally, I felt that the ship was too crowded, especially with children whose parents were not watching and disciplining them. At night, they would run down the hallways yellling and screaming. Next time, I'd choose a cruise more oriented towards adults, thought it is also true that Carnival is billed as a family kind of line, so this wasn't their fault. But they should come down more on parents whose kids run amok.

The cruise is great for families with small children. Carnival has greatly improved their service and cleanliness. This is our third time on the Splendor and would definitely do again. It's convenient and worth the money. These days it is hard to travel and with kids this cruise has something for everyone.

From the start with putting us in the wrong line, to losing the luggage, bad.

I enjoyed the cruise and had a good time in the ports. The excursions were fun. I highly recommend booking through Carnival because if your excursion is cancelled, you get your money back. There was a storm and our excursion was cancelled and we got our money back. The biggest bummer was having a balcony room and being surrounded by smokers. We are non smokers and could not enjoy the balcony we paid for. The smoke got so bad we had to go inside our cabin to breath clean air. This could be simply solved by making one side of the ship non smoking.

Wow this ship don't have to many words to express it! Put it like this any age group is welcomed. They have a little of everything for everybody no matter how old or young you are. I felt bad because the food alone was way more than what we paid. I kept telling my boyfriend how could they afford to give us soo much for soo little. I do alot of traveling but first time on a cruise and now all I can ever see my self doing is being the cruise queen. As I mentioned earlier you must see it for yourself to believe it.

We just returned from 7 days at sea on the Carnival Splendor and we had the time of our lives!! My husband and I cruised with our boys (ages 13 and 18) and my Mom and we ALL had the best time! We absolutely made memories that will last a lifetime!

The ship was great, very clean and well cared for. The staff was so nice and super helpful. I will say it took a while to find things because of the layout of the ship.
