The ship was great... The ports of call were OK with Cabo being the weak link...

Nice Winter Break by JimD11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

The ship is very nice and still new with the amenities we've become accustomed to on newer ships - flat screen tv's, hair dryers, 3 closets, etc. Dining rooms are good but the food was hit or miss. The chocolate melting cake that everybody raves about would sometimes be just all syrup with very little cake. The shows were typical and got very boring after about 10 minutes. The hypnotist put you to sleep. Two days in Cabo is way too much, better would be two days in PV or head to some other port. The weather was perfect, the seas with only 6 ft swells and the temperature wonderful. The waite staff is very good. Very worst - the last night my wife and I were sitting near a lounge and a fight broke out between two 20 somethings that couldn't handle their booze (or perhaps they were high on some drugs). Their friends got them apart but had to sit on one guy to keep him down. Security was called but took at least 5 minutes to respond. If you're going to serve booze to unsupervised idiots, you need to provide security for the rest of us!

Great Cruise Experience by JoeD4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

Took the 7 day Mexico Riveria Cruise out of Long Beach. The ship was spacious clean and bright. The staff friendly and very helpful. We spent 2 days in Cabo and 1 day in Puerto Vallarta. It was the perfect mix of crusing and land stops. It was nice having an extra day in Cabo. The food choices and quality of food was a pleasant surprise.

nice cruise by DonnaH8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

WE truly enjoyed the ship and the food, the daily activies were geared mainly for the younger passengers and hat is good but there are a large amount of seniors, not wanting, the spa or trivia, maybe cooking demos galley tour talent contests, passengers, and crew

Pink Splendor!! by KarenL3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

We loved the Splendor! The over-the-top pink decor was quite shocking at first. However, when lit up at night, the public areas look really pretty. The corridors to the staterooms and the staterooms themselves are tastefully decorated in a more subdued color scheme. The Splendor lives up to her name!

Great cruise by BarbB3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

First ship in 5 we could actually breath in most places. We loved it!! Good dining in Black Pearl. Friendly staff. Good 50's show. Should get rid of feather and 20's shows. Easy to find way around. Had a great time.

Cruise to Mexico by LilaJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

The ship was very nice and comfortable, i just wish there had been more for my 2 yr old to do. Also it would have been better to spend two days in Puerto Vallerta rather than Cabo, definitely not a fan of Cabo, not much to do there and the vendors were annoying on the beach.

Great cruise for price! by AmandaC2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

This was me and my friend's first cruise experience and it was great! It was very decently priced for a 7 day cruise. I loved the experience of living on the ship for 7 days. I thought there would be more variety to the food on board, so I was kind of disappointed in that. By the 5th day I was pretty sick of the food, but then again I am picky! The staff and entertainment are wonderful! I do wish there was a pool and hot tub area for adults only. And although I loved the ship, I probably would never take a cruise to Mexico again. The excursions were fun (we went snorkeling and zip-lining) but I did not enjoy Mexico too much.

A very awesome experience by PT12884994

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

The ship is beautiful, although we did find it hard to get around at times. More signage as to where we were and how to get to specific parts of the ship would be more helpful. I would however be delighted to take this ship again.

An almost perfect cruise... by GabrielF6061073

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Splendor / Destination: Mexico

i was told when booking that the average age was 25-35, awesome i thought as i am 32. but that average was set by combining the very many children and old people...not a representation of the literal amount of my demographic. the servers were very pushy trying to sell drinks...interrupting conversations... and puerto vallerta was like docking in Texas, from the boat you could see k-mart and smog....not cool!
