7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles Roundtrip)
Sail Date: January 22, 2012
Ship: Carnival Splendor
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Large Group

We loved the Splendor! The over-the-top pink decor was quite shocking at first. However, when lit up at night, the public areas look really pretty. The corridors to the staterooms and the staterooms themselves are tastefully decorated in a more subdued color scheme. The Splendor lives up to her name!

Food and Dining

I don't recommend the "scrambled eggs" in the Lido buffet. They do not use real eggs. Ugh! Overall the food was better than expected. The Pinnacle dining experience was exceptional for the nominal cost.

Service and Staff

We were impressed with the staff. Any problems (plumbing; safe) were addressed immediately.

Cabin / Stateroom

Comfy bed and pillows in our stateroom.

Pros: Service, dining, shows

Cons: The ship was kept too cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Recommends Carnival Splendor? No.
