The excursion desk was very helpful. They took time in helping me decide which outing would be best for what I wanted to do. The information desk did not receive my complaint very well about my bathing suit being totally ruined due to over chlorinating the Jacuzzi and I was displeased with the compensation they offered. It was also unfortunate that they did not sell bathing suits in their shops on board. I would suggest you bring an extra suit in case something happens. One of the pools was also shut down several times during the cruise and the women's room was out of order for a good period of time. My room steward was awesome and the waiters at dinner were great also. All in all I had a great time. I had an upset stomach and went to the infirmary and was banned from the dining room for 24 hours. It was formal night and I had to miss it. Because they don't know what the cause is, they treat all stomach problems the same so there is not an outbreak on board. I wish they could have explained that before I filled out the paperwork. I absolutely knew it was the food I ate in Acapulco. I can understand they have rules, though. The ship was not overcrowded, which surprised me. They had good prices in the shops on board. I liked the fact they videoed some excursions and you could watch it on your TV in your room. The ship was very nice.

Everything was the best. Your employees are especially great. The food in the formal dining was the best. Our room, activities, information, etc. couldn't have been better.

We were very pleased by the pleasant and ever-exciting aesthetics of the ships interior. Decoration kept you interested as there was always something new to see and explore. Ship was very well maintained and kept, which made the experience even more wonderful!

This was our first cruise and we enjoyed it very much for the most part. Unlike a number of the previous reviewers we enjoyed the time spent at sea. It was very relaxing and we have seen and done it all in Mexico so the itinerary wasn't very important to us. Our suite was very nice and larger than we expected so that was a big plus for us. The ship itself and the public areas were kept very clean and neat and we were impressed with the staff in general. We would not hesitate to sail on this ship in the future.

We sailed on the ship at the same time last year. We found that overall the standards had slipped somewhat. In the dinign room the temperature was always chilly, an elderly couple on the table wore outer jackets at the table.

The Carnival Spirit was outstanding. The ship was enormous, in the 8 days I was onboard I was not able to see everything onboard. The ship was sparkling clean, and the staff would bend over backwards to make the guests happy. Two thumbs up!

We liked the decor of this ship-not as "Vegas" as some others. The crew were all very nice and our cabin linens were wonderful. We had an " extended" balcony which was much bigger than the normal balconies.

Customer service was fantastic. Cabin steward and our evening waitress were the most friendly and helpful people I have encountered. The ship was beautiful. The staff worked, it appeared 24/7 to keep it spotless. The dinners were excellant, every night the menu offerred a variety of choices including healthy low calorie dishes. The health club facilities, again was a surprise. It was big, clean, a variety of weights, machines, both cardio and resistance training to get a good workout. Only one resistance machine did not function, I assumed it would be difficult to get parts on the one day in port. Very relaxing cruise, enjoyable people everywhere.

The ship was very clean and well organized. The staff semed to care about the passengers.

The ship has very interesting decor with nice public rooms and the cabins were of generous size.

Very well maintained, extremely friendly service throughout. Many good food offerings. It was my daughter's first cruise and she can't wait to go again!

We just got back from an 8 day Mexican Riviera cruise on the Carnival Spirit and it was wonderful. My wife and I have taken 2 previous cruises (w/Inside cabins) on Carnival 9-10 years ago and loved them, but we had heard that their service/quality had diminished since then. However, we still chose Carnival because we brought our 3 boys along (17,15,& 8), and Carnival seems to be more family oriented. Well, we couldn't have been more misinformed about Carnival's quality/service, because the food was fabulous and the service, impeccable. And, as for the boys, they had a great time with lots to do. And, parents, if there's anything important on a family vacation, it's making sure your kids are having fun and not saying "B-O-R-I-N-G" every hour of the day. The only reason we're not giving it 6 stars is that the embarkation/disembarkation process was quite disorganized and frustrating., but, once aboard, it was soon forgotten. Also, I mentioned having Inside cabins previously. Well, we had a Balcony this time ,and we'll never be inside again. We loved it. Thanks, .

I think either the plumbing and/or the HVAC needs attention as to the occasional unpleasant odors. Overall very nice!!!! Probably our 10th cruise and the food quality continues to improve!!! Ate at the supper club one night and food was exceptional, service was exceptional, as was the ambiance. Good wine sellection also.

We sailed on the Carnival Spirit. I was a great mix of passengers. The crew was very wonderful with our kids (boy 9 & girl 12); they really enjoyed the kids clubs. There were romantic spots for just my husband & I to escape to or there were tons of family friendly activities. Everyone in my family truely enjoyed our cruise and would go again tomorrow!

This ship is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you board the ship you are swept up in the beauty and elegance of this ship. The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of storage and it was nice and quiet. The food was wonderful. I hardly missed a meal in the dining room. The entertainment was very good and the comedy was wonderful. I had a hard time finding fault with anything on this trip.

We had a super time. Loved the disco & latin music at the disco. We're dancers.

Overall, the Carnival Spirit was a clean and well run ship. I was disappointed with the pools which used salt water pumped from the ocean and consequently had rather extreme variations in temperature. On an ealrier cruise aboard the Princess Grandeur of the Sea the pools used fresh water that was kept at a relatively constant temperature. In addition, there was an endless pool device in the adults only pool that provided exercise for lap swimmers like myself. The Carnival Spirit lacked any accomodations for swimmers.
