Review summary
We just got back from an 8 day Mexican Riviera cruise on the Carnival Spirit and it was wonderful. My wife and I have taken 2 previous cruises (w/Inside cabins) on Carnival 9-10 years ago and loved them, but we had heard that their service/quality had diminished since then. However, we still chose Carnival because we brought our 3 boys along (17,15,& 8), and Carnival seems to be more family oriented. Well, we couldn't have been more misinformed about Carnival's quality/service, because the food was fabulous and the service, impeccable. And, as for the boys, they had a great time with lots to do. And, parents, if there's anything important on a family vacation, it's making sure your kids are having fun and not saying "B-O-R-I-N-G" every hour of the day. The only reason we're not giving it 6 stars is that the embarkation/disembarkation process was quite disorganized and frustrating., but, once aboard, it was soon forgotten. Also, I mentioned having Inside cabins previously. Well, we had a Balcony this time ,and we'll never be inside again. We loved it. Thanks, .Ship experiences
