For a family of 5, the cruise was convenient. The staff was excellent but I thought the ship was older.

I purchased the cruise for my wife's birthday celebration and our good friends went along for their anniversary. We all enjoyed the Normandy Lounge and the dine at your time option. The only con is that people do not follow the dress code....they shouldn't allow shorts, sandals, sleeveless shirts on formal night. If you don't want to dress at least casual for this specific evening...eat on the Lido deck. The weather was great, Kirk and Jamie were wonderful cruise directors, the accomodations were excellent and the service was very good. Our room was always kept clean with new sheets, towels and a surprise towel animal every day. The comedians were great, the dancers were excellent...try dancing on a moving ship....and the other shows were very entertaining. The only minor issue was the buffet....not that we didn't like the food, we just ate most of our breakfasts and lunches at the Normandy Lounge. When you get older, you want to sit down, relax and have people wait on you. Also, keep the children out of the hot tubs unless they are with their parents. It is not a substitute for a swimming pool. Nothing worse than wanting to relax and have children running, jumping and using the hot tubs as a play ground without parental supervision. This ship must have been built to cater older cruisers. The decor is a little risque, however, if you don't make a big deal about it, kids don't seem to notice it as much.

Clean, ample space, easy to find your way around, great staff and wonderful food.

Nice ship, did not like the smoking in the common areas, did not like that you had to be in store or gym to win prizes.

This is my first time on Carnival and I was pleasantly surprised. Glad that ship was refurbished a few months before we went. Rooms were a good size. Food was decent and staff was friendly. Wish we got to FL sooner - took us 3 days to get there and only 1 day to come back from Nassau. Needed longer time in warmer states/countries and less time on ship at sea.

Liked the Italian renaissance theme of the decor, it created a warm ambience and made the ship stand out from others. Crew was pleasant, but training and service varied, not as sharp overall as other lines we have cruised on. Food was plentiful and good, but not outstanding.

This was my irst time being on the Pride. I have been on the sister ship, the Miracle three times and the noticeable difference was that the staff on the Pride seemed happier making it more fun and they were more relaxed. The mexican buffet was better than the Miracle as well, they seemed to have different items to choose from. What surprised me the most was that we actually saw the Maitre d more than once, usually the night of tip giving is the ONLY time we see him! We saw him every night and he was pleasant and charming!

port of calls was interesting and fun, carnival offered many shore trips. ship was very clean and the food was good and plentiful don't miss the behind the fun tour of the ship

The cruise is a nice one, enough food, polite crew, efficient service, clean room. There are about 4 jacuzzi pools and 2 swimming pools, but the swimming pools are just too small, nobody would really like to go inside, and they are too deep for young kids. These pools aret therefore a waste. Gym close too early at 8pm. Food is ok, but no too much change over the week. only two or three dishes in the Normandi Restaurant really tasted wonderful, most were just so so altough I believe the chiefs tried their best to serve the people. The Asian food corner is too small with 2 choices + rice + noodle + soup. no movie night, no too much entertainment on board, the shows in the nights were boring, except the hypnosis show which is fantastic. In general, with the price, the provided by Carnival Pride is fine, although I think there is room to improve and the price could be a little higher.

Nice ship, it was pretty impress by initially enter the ship, but after staying over a day, realize it is aged, over 10 years old. Need rehab. Overall, it was fun.

I went on this cruise with my sister and mother. My mother is in a power wheelchair so I was very worried about her. From the moment we got on the ship I could see she would be fine. The Pride staff were amazing helping my mother with her food tray at every meal. The ship was wheelchair friendly. My only suggestion is a couple more wheelchair spots in the main show room. I LOVED the decor of the ship very beautiful. I felt as though I was back in Italy. I LOVED the selection of foods and I felt there were a lot of selections from the Sushi Bar to 24hr pizza which was excellent. My mother's favorite port was Cape Canaveral she loved the Space Center tour. The Freeport market place immediately outside the ship was fun and she was able yo drive her chair easily off the ship to the dock. Nassau was the only only port she could not get around well. We all three loved Jamie & Adam the Cruise Director. Ketut and our other room stewards were both helpful and kind to mother, they also did outstanding keeping everything spotless! I have cruised before but this was hands down my FAVORITE!!!!

From start to finish we had a wonderful time. From the organization of boarding the ship to debarkation upon our return to Baltimore. The ship (Carnival Pride) was clean and well maintained for a 10 year old vessel. This was our third cruise with Carnival and can't say enough positive about our overall experience.

Ship seemed very dark, and decor was dark as well. Did not like the nude photos that were everywhere to be seen by young children who were heard asking questions about some of the nude scenes. Inappropriate for families with little children. Had the feeling I was in the Haunted Mansion in Disney World.

Overall the staff was excellent. The food was good, but I've had better on other cruise lines. There's one big negative - I watched a crewman cleaning the public restroom by wiping down the urinals with a towel, then using the same towel to wipe down the faucets and sinks. Yuuck!!
