Review summary
I purchased the cruise for my wife's birthday celebration and our good friends went along for their anniversary. We all enjoyed the Normandy Lounge and the dine at your time option. The only con is that people do not follow the dress code....they shouldn't allow shorts, sandals, sleeveless shirts on formal night. If you don't want to dress at least casual for this specific evening...eat on the Lido deck. The weather was great, Kirk and Jamie were wonderful cruise directors, the accomodations were excellent and the service was very good. Our room was always kept clean with new sheets, towels and a surprise towel animal every day. The comedians were great, the dancers were excellent...try dancing on a moving ship....and the other shows were very entertaining. The only minor issue was the buffet....not that we didn't like the food, we just ate most of our breakfasts and lunches at the Normandy Lounge. When you get older, you want to sit down, relax and have people wait on you. Also, keep the children out of the hot tubs unless they are with their parents. It is not a substitute for a swimming pool. Nothing worse than wanting to relax and have children running, jumping and using the hot tubs as a play ground without parental supervision. This ship must have been built to cater older cruisers. The decor is a little risque, however, if you don't make a big deal about it, kids don't seem to notice it as much.Ship experiences

Ship tip
Do not be shy in using room service.....they are punctual and service with a smile. Take advantage of the sea day brunch in the Normandie and don't miss the formal dining nights.
