Review summary

Liked the Italian renaissance theme of the decor, it created a warm ambience and made the ship stand out from others. Crew was pleasant, but training and service varied, not as sharp overall as other lines we have cruised on. Food was plentiful and good, but not outstanding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Loved the pizza bar and sushi options. Wish the entrees in main dining room had had a bit more pizazz. My Time dining worked out well, a nice option.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Our impression was that there was less going on during the day than other cruises we have taken, but maybe we have just gotten a bit jaded! Thought the singers and dancers were above average, and the variety shows very well done. Some really nice musicians on the ship.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some wait staff in dining room very well trained and attentive, others not so good. All staff cheerful and made a point of greeting us as we passed.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was very clean and well kept.

Cabin / Stateroom

Nice layout, well thought out. Overall orange decor color not my favorite, but I enjoyed the art on the walls. Steward was a whiz with towel animals!

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Some great snorkeling at Paradise Beach, and we enjoyed learning about the history of Grand Bahama Island on our tour.
Don't Miss: Western Heritage Tour

Port Canaveral, Florida

Don't Miss: Kennedy Space Center

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Nice that the ship docks right in the heart of downtown Nassau -- easy to walk off the boat and do your own thing.

Pros: Leaving from a nearby port (Baltimore); decor of ship; reasonable price

Cons: Some food (dinner entrees) was unimaginative; lack of signage to help get off ship in port
