An OK cruise

Sail Date: January 16, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Ship seemed very dark, and decor was dark as well. Did not like the nude photos that were everywhere to be seen by young children who were heard asking questions about some of the nude scenes. Inappropriate for families with little children. Had the feeling I was in the Haunted Mansion in Disney World.

Pros: The tranquil moments I had reading in a quiet place on the ship

Cons: The many interruptions from the director of unimportant information. The standing outside in the freezing cold for the lifeboat drill. This could of easily been done inside like on other ships.

Recommends Carnival Pride? No.

Too much singing and dancing. Pride's entertainment needs a definite boost. Bring on some entertaining acts other than singing and dancing which was extremely boring. The juggler was the only good entertainment the whole week.
Food and Dining
We didn't know anything about the "Anytime dining" before we saw it posted in the Fun circular. The food on the Pride was not nearly as good as we have had on other ships and we have been on over 15 cruises with Carnival.
Ship Quality
Service and Staff
All staff was always willing to give you directions or explain whatever your question was in a very friendly manner.
Cabin / Stateroom
Ice should be available when needed. It was forgotten in our room twice and we were unable to find anyone to get us ice. Once the rooms were done being serviced there was no one around to get your icebucket refilled.
Nassau, Bahamas
This was the only warm sunny day we had the whole week so we enjoyed the warmth.
