Great service once again! by spuds20031

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our 4th Carnival cruise, and 2nd on the Pride out of Baltimore. We prefer destinations where the beaches are very close to the ship and don't require a cab ride. Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay (with ship's tender) meet that. Half Moon Cay is stunning, I can't stay out in the sun all day, so I didn't really get to enjoy it 2 years ago. This time we rented the cabana, and it was fantastic. I highly recommend that. We feel very comfortable on the Pride, the staff was great. Our room steward and wait staff were beyond top notch. We had a balcony room. We asked for an ice bucket-no problem. I asked for a reclining lounge chair for the balcony-no problem. Extra towels, preferred time for cabin cleaning, laundry service...no problem. This group was amazing. We enjoy the comedy shows, these were kind of hit and miss. These guys do so many shows that I think they are trying to stretch out their material. Overall, the food was great. I love Guy's Burger Joint, but one of the servers was a bit of a pain-didn't want to prepare my burger as requested. I didn't get his name, but should have. The breakfast was good, I had a freshly made omelette every morning. One surprising thing...to my knowledge, no fried chicken tenders anywhere on the ship. With kids on board, you would think.... The dining room meals were delicious, service was amazing. We have already booked next year's 7 day cruise on the Pride and we have booked a suite this time.

Great cruise by imdarchi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I loved Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk. Would love if they had a cruise just going to these two islands. The Pride is a really nice ship and loved loved loved our cruise director Leigh. He was very approachable and friendly. One of the best. The staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough to please you. Our room stuart was the best. The food on the ship was just ok.

Carnival Pride June 3-10 by phisig28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

First the good: Food and dining service was excellent! Omari, Sahin, and Kenn were the best wait staff we have ever had! They went out of their way to make our experience memorable and fun! Now the bad: First, ship is in pretty bad shape. they were constantly working on things, closing many outside decks. There was constant noise from sandblasting and the smell of paint thinner was awful the last few days. Ships is going into dry dock in January, but they should think about moving that up. Grand Turk excursion: horse back riding. I booked this through Carnival for my husband and daughter. Entire excursion was a disaster, it is nothing like the pictures. They basically took them to a closed military base, horses were not good for inexperienced riders. They often would take off or wonder off and they told you to control the horse and bring it back. One horse bumped my husband's horse and he got thrown off. They use cheap english saddles so he had nothing to hold onto. He is an experienced rider and was able to get up right away, but if the rider was not experienced, it could have been bad. The people from the excursion told us not to tell Carnival! Total waste of money. During their excursion in Grand Turk, I booked a massage. My massage started at 9:30, then at 9:45 the ship did an abandon ship drill. The entire time of my massage, sirens were going off, the ship horn was blasting and there were constant announcements. I know the ship must do these drills, but the spa should simply not book during that time. Juliet, my massage therapist was very apologetic, but the girl at the front desk of the spa was very rude and basically said sorry about your luck. They refused to give me money back, or agree to another free massage. I went to guest services and they gave me $27 in free drinks. Does not make up for the $200 awful non relaxing massage! Upon our return, I called Carnival to voice my concerns about the excursion and massage. There response? We can give you a $50 onboard credit on your next cruise. I am really unhappy with Carnival and won't be sailing with them again. They made it clear they don't value us as customer's and are only out for the money. I just booked our next cruise with Royal and can't wait to go back to them. They truly are superior to Carnival and will be our choice from now on.

Fantastic Carnival Cruise by Webstar32

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Not sure what it is about this ship but the staff is always amazing. Cruise director Leigh was charismatic and entertaining. Fun squad members like Blake made waiting to debark absolutely pain free and kept us entertained. Bartenders Nicolea and Dejean at Alchemy are both wonderful bartenders and very pleasant to be around. Dining Staff Stanley, Mikey, and Ajayat (Jay) were amazing. They always made us feel welcomed with a smile and asked how our day was going. I know they are supposed to ask but they did seem as if they genuinely cared . We will 100% be cruising with Carnival and likely on the Pride again.

Beautiful Caribbean Cruise by stacyrauer

Cruise was great. Disembarkation was horrible. Took us 3 hours to get off the ship. Once we were off, we went quickly through customs. Disembarkation was chaotic.

So over 30 of us went. All family. This is something we have never done before. Everyone had a great time. The first couple of days were overcast. Our cruise director Leigh was so much fun and Blake will have you partying.

Kind of underwhelming by KSandy14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our main waiter was no fun and slow. We split into a smaller group two nights and our waiter (a different one) was amazing. That was the difference between hot and cold food. We always had to wait an hour for dinner. Our state room was 74 at the lowest temp, the beds were uncomfortable (my mattress at home is firm) these were like sleeping on a rock. Our room staff were super helpful as much as they could be and polite. Don’t buy the WiFi, not worth the money. The best port was Half Moon Cay. The weather was sunny, the water was warm and when we went there were plenty of chairs.

First time with Carnival! ... by cjb1028

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

First time with Carnival! It was excellent! Our room steward, Edwin, was great. Excursions were great - we did the swim with the dolphins in Freeport and Home Sweet Home in Grand Turk. Again, excellent! Ship is showing it's age but not a big deal. We had an aft wrap around suite and it was a great room. Food in the dining room, Cantina and Guy's burgers was great (buffet was adequate). Alchemy Bar had the BEST drinks (loved the Caribbean Manhattan... I'm hooked!). Casino was small but I did well, so no complaints! Can't wait to book our next cruise!

Pretty good. by Sassycat1727

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

Cruise was nice. Clean. No hot food in the dining halls. We also had to wait for over an hour to be seated and when we got in there were tons of empty tables. Felt understaffed. Our room steward and helper were awesome.

wonderful cruise experience by Saranadine80

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It was a little tough figuring things out in the beginning especially with young kids in tow, but once we got the hang of it the overall experience was great. The stops were great also. I do recommend that you you want to go to a beach at Freeport is to do the excursion. Freeport docks at a industrialized place and i believe most excursions were well on time and fun. The stuff was super helpful and friendly, the entertainment is wide range and fun as well.

Fantastic cruise for my first cruise ever by pbinder1988

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

On the last day of cruise there was a 90.00 charge put on the account per person. This was gurtilry for service to rooms. Dining room and cleaning people. This was very surprising to me. This should be a charge that is included in the price of the cruise. I had all finances in order and did not like the surprise charges.

Carnival’s Pride is an amazing... by Seabae

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Carnival’s Pride is an amazing ship. She’s older and certain things come along with that like rust(salt water, no surprise) and the constant rocking and moving. The staff were all friendly and helpful. You can tell they work hard. I do wish the Serenity deck had more seating and that the “Dive-in” movies could actually be seen from Serenity (like on the Sunshine) or atleast the pool or a hot tub but you can’t have everything! All in all our 7 day trip was a great time!

Paradise by takeme2sunshine

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise was great. I felt like we were rushed on the islands. Disembarkment was a joke. We did the carry off option. They need to get more officers for customs. They were only 2 to start for 1.5 and then they added 2 more. It was a very slow process. Thank god we didn't have to fly out but did have a 7 hr drive ahead of us.

Pride May 13-20 2018 by upsgreg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We enjoyed every moment on the ship and in the ports. The staff was always friendly and helpful. When we booked the cruise and let Carnival know it was for our anniversary the staff was made aware of it and we received little perks and extra attention that made it even more special !

This was a great cruise by Bmister95

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Really liked this cruise. Great ship layout, although the Victory had a better Lido Deck for Sunbathers, The Pride had a better Pool. We missed Grand Turk due to a sever medical issue with a guest on the ship. We were diverted to Nassau instead. We did the Discover Atlantis Excursion. WAY over priced for the few aquariums they had. We loved Half Moon Cay. Kids loved the Stingray Snorkel Excursion. Great Beach and Food. Freeport is industrialized. Unless you bought an excursion, all you could do is shop at port or a 30 minute taxi to Port Laplayta Market. Disimbarkment was very slow, They started with only had 2 Immigration Officers, but gained 2 more for last remaining 1/4 of the ship. Overall, I would do this trip again.
