Do not go. The only staff that seemed to be interested in satisfied customers was the Red Frog Rum Bar

Avoid starboard side and aft of the ship if you are non-smoker, especially on decks 10, 11, and 12.

Make sure to experience the entire ship. There are hidden decks and areas not mentioned a lot.

Try to attend the shows- the Broadway type, the comedy, the karaoke, and the singing. There were so many talented performers on this ship.

Enjoy!

Deck 4-5 are good floors to get from one end of the ship to the other. On debarkation day use the aft elevators to get you down to the 4th floor then you will only have to go down one set of stairs.

Please go on your vacation and make it your own... you can't always trust what others say about things because it is solely their opinions... I was skeptical about this ship because it is a smaller class... but like I said we will definitely cruise the magic again

Wear your masks! and use hand sanitizer relentlessly

Just enjoy yourself and let the good vibes take you away. And if you can't do that, then something is really wrong with you.

The Carnival Magic was more of a budget cruise, cost-wise compared to other cruise lines. We usually sail on Holland America. Because of this, you will find more families rather than couples. We actually sailed when school was in session, so there were very few children. You can expect much more noise on the ship if you sail when children are out of school. We live in Virginia and were so happy we did not have to fly to our Norfolk port, so this saved time and money. I recommend checking local ports in your state as more cruises are now departing from Norfolk and Baltimore.

Just be prepared for lines everywhere for everything, pack your patience.

Plan on an extremely long and un organized debarkation

Rethink it. This was our first trip post Covid. I am a veteran cruiser with many line Disney Royal and Carnival. The industry has been changing over the years and prior to covid it was noticed. The main Dining room used to have wonderful choices and was an event every night. Now the food that used to be offered is in the specialty restaurants and at a fee. The main dining is more like the food you would find on the buffet. The ship in my opinion is short staffed. I am booked on Carnival Celebration in and corner aft excel suite and seriously considering canceling it

Overall it's a good ship, not huge but not too small

Don't forget to try the Italian restaurant, complimentary at lunch.
