If you like to lay by the pool, go out as soon as you can and get you a deck chair. Just enjoy the Carnival Magic from one end to the other.

Check to see if the Reverend Dr. E is the cruise director....by far the BEST cruise director to date of any cruise director I've ever had.

If you get on the ship late the first day good luck finding seating to eat-lie on all ships. Wi-Fi is a waste. Not trying to sound wasteful but if you like something-order as much as you want at dinner. You need to try the Steakhouse. Seating by the pool is hard on sea days. Pig and anchor is good.

Order bottled water ahead of time for your room. Go to the back of the ship for buffet. Omelette line was always shorter. Everyone always stops at the first line and forgets there is another one further back. Eat at the steak house! You wont regret it and it is worth every penny!

The crew is very awesome. Everyone went out of there way to help with our every need. We went on an excursion in Dominican Republic that was refunded because of wildlife abandonment. The monkeys ran away. Would not have got to see the island if we didn't go. Excursion group apologized for out of control monkeys. They no control over the monkeys. Tour guide for monkey jungle trip was great.

Plan out your days, there's so much going on all day, it's easy to miss things or try and do too much.

I honestly cannot recommend this ship. I have been on it twice and theirs obviously a cultural change. I actually truly enjoyed the Cruise Director, Reverend Dr. E, who was also the same when I cruised in February 2016 and didn't enjoy as much then. There's a monotonous, robotic cultural of service that is present on the ship now that has never existed on this ship or any other Carnival cruise I've taken in the past and it's significantly below the standard of Royal Caribbean. The only benefit is cost, as the cruises with Carnival are generally cheaper but personally my satisfaction is more important than cheap thrills.

Again just with the dining. Unless they change something, be aware of the possibly excessive wait time for the evening meal unless you choose to eat up on Lido in the buffet.
