Roshwin, Atmaram, Jin, Wayan, and Dr. E are great. They made the ship experience memorable. Not sure if we will cruise again tho. The whole vacation cost us over $5,000 for one week. We can find something better to do with that amount of money.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We only ate in the dining room twice the entire trip and it was good food. For myself it was hard to find food I could eat other than the burrito place and the lido buffet. I don't eat pork and will not eat anything that has had cross contamination with pork. I was going to try the cheese pizza, but the crew would reach in the pepperoni then the cheeses contaminating it with pork. I wanted to try guys burgers, but they grill the piggy burger next to the regular burgers contaminating them as well. The burrito place on the lido deck was delicious and safe and the lido buffet was too. As far a drinks... Alcoholic drinks are ridiculously over priced and the only free options throughout the day was water and lemonade that was just ok.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
In our family we had 2 adults and a 16 year old.
For us adults, we spent most of our time in the casino and deck 12 over the lido deck. The casino was for the most part kinda chilly, but the staff was great. Roshwin, Atmaram, and Jin were great. They were always very friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. They would greet us by name with a smile and even let us know when our other family members were around. On deck 12 over the lido deck Wayan did the same. For myself and fiancé.
Our teen enjoyed the O2 club for the first few days, then she complained that it became repetitive and boring.
All of us felt like the pools were too small and always very crowded. So we didn't get a chance to enjoy them.
Entertainment

We also went to a few shows, but the only ones that were exciting involved Dr. E. Dr. E deserves a 5 star rating by himself, but everything else was just ok.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As mentioned above. Roshwin, Atmaram, and Jin in the casino were amazing. Wayan on deck 12 over the lido deck was also awesome. The 4 of them alone earned a 5 star! Special thanks to all 4 of them!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Things were always clean. The staff did an amazing job cleaning up after all the craziness of vacationers. Well done!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was perfect for what we needed. The small bed was not very comfortable at first, but Samsul added cushion and made it better. Thanks Samsul! Give that man a 5 star as well.
Ship tip
Drinks are expensive, but look for Roshwin, Atmaram, Jin, and Wayan!
We wanted to venture out a bit, but felt like we were being swarmed with pushy people trying to get us to do excursions. It didn't feel comfortable just outside of the fenced off town area.
It was too early and rushed. We somehow forgot a bunch of stuff in the second bathroom. We left an expensive flat iron and an even more expensive hair dryer. Who knows what else we left in there...
Believe or not the cruises in America are half the price that we pay in Australia so I think cruising is definitely money well spent we have been coming to the USA for 15 yrs and find the cost excellent we have cruised the Pacific islands ,Asia, Fiji islands from Australia and the cost is double so I really do not think you have much to complain about.
We always booked a balcony as we like to sit out read and have a few drinks and do not mind spending the extra as we're on vacation.....going through Alaska was a must to have a balcony and while in port it's nice to sit out on the balcony yes things are a little bit more expensive on board but your on vacation so you expect to pay it.
80 days until we leave Australia for our next adventure ð
Try doing the exact itinerary of a cruise by flying to each port, add hotel for each night, breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus entertainment and let us know which is more cost effective. lol
i think we are spending around $4000. balcony room, alcohol package, 4 carnival excursions each, gratuties, airfare to florida, hotel the night before. it all adds up.
yes, check out your ship, location of departure, days on board, excursions with carnival and without, and watch spending on board. should be a very affordable vacation. now if you are 4 + guest I can see the price hike.
We buy $1 can sodas on the island and bring them back on the ship. The ship can sodas are $2.95 I think they were, compared to $1. And yes you are allowed cans on the ship.
Did the same with gratuities. Took them off our bill, and tipped cash for everyone who deserved it, bartenders, servers, etc, and gave our room steward a way much better tip than he would have gotten had we kept the prepaid gratuities. He was very pleased.
We have been on 4 cruises so far. We started out with a balcony, one ocean view and 2 interior cabins. You just sleep there so why a get a balcony? Next year no drink package either. We rarely drink enough soda to make it worth the price. So next year just buy per drink for soda and the random alcoholic drink. Can use the saved money for an excursion.
Oh my. That's alot. I can go on 5 cruises for that price. Next time just ask around and and see the best options. The ships cabin location, front, back, midship, deck, all of that plays a part in the cost. Don't give up cruising for one not so good time. Cruising is so much fun. Try it again before you throw in towel.
Wow! Either you took a whole bunch of people or you may need some help with more economical cruising. We cruise cheaper than we can vacation anywhere else. I'm sorry it wasn't fantastic for you for that kind of money.
