Overall great cruise. We'll be cruising again on the Magic in March 2018. The staff was great, very helpful and you can't beat the cruise director Dr. E anywhere.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The only complaint I would have is the anytime dining we had with the exception of the first night was not very good. The food was great, it was the seating. For some reason, if you had anytime dining and wanted to go within the first 45 minutes (1745-1815) the lines reached around to the guest services counter on deck 3. They only had one dining room (Norther Lights) that did anytime and they also did first and second seatings there also. The dining room filled quickly and they reverted to giving out pagers like most restaurants and with the exception the first night, we had to wait close to an hour plus before being seated. Then it conflicted with the second seating people and the wait staff was just worked ragged. Service was very slow and it was very apparent that there was not enough staff to handle the people. A suggestion to the Carnival Magic people would be to use both the Northern and Southern Light restaurants for anytime dining.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The cruise director, Dr. E was fabulous. He made so many of the activities fun and made you want to attend and be involved in more things just so you could see what he would come up with.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Overall good. The female singers were much better than the male and really only one of the males had the best voice and should of been the lead on most all songs.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room steward outstanding. Waiters very good, just issues with the dining and that really wasn't their fault.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Clean and nice.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cove balcony was great. Spacious and nice even with two teenage boys.
Ship tip
Again just with the dining. Unless they change something, be aware of the possibly excessive wait time for the evening meal unless you choose to eat up on Lido in the buffet.
Other than one bad experience with a sales person at Diamonds International in Aruba, the were fantastic. The Carnival port shopping person, Ryan, was right with us in Aruba at DI and handled the situation magnificently in Aruba and it didn't ruin the overall stay on the island.
