Pretty easy to retrieve anything you needed from their website, or call your travel agent

Documentation info is clear IF one reads it. It makes me sad that a horrible review from a poorly prepared passenger negatively impacts The Legend and Carnival...

Been on over 30 cruises and taken my kids and now my grandkids many times. Never a problem, they always have a passport that way no questions.

I cruise with my kids frequently. It's all pretty simple :)

If I remember correctly, when printing out your stuff, (luggage tags and all) you have to affirm that you read and understand the docs. It's been awhile since I have cruised on Carnival.

dawnro    8 years ago

I am thinking that it had to do with kids...

tpost55    8 years ago

Yes you are right. I was thinking about a passport. Should have made that clear in my post. Thanks

MrsOneal    8 years ago

You need a photo id with birth certificate or passport for any cruise whether you get off at port or not. And that's stated in the cruise documents.

tpost55    8 years ago

It would only be required if a person got off the ship at Victoria, BC or am I not thinking correctly?

TNTGreen    8 years ago

@dawnro it's an Alaskan Voyage but one of the ports is not a US port so birth certificate with govt ID or passport is required.

dawnro    8 years ago

Hmm, it was to be an Alaskan voyage. Does that change anyone's opinion?

batch123    8 years ago

Sounds reasonable to me not taking responsibility and blaming someone else for your not reading the documents or the website. Perhaps next time mommy or daddy carnival will hold your hand.

TNTGreen    8 years ago

Sounds like someone didn't review their cruise documents

birdgirl1    8 years ago

It`s all spelled out pretty plain.

MrsOneal    8 years ago

I'm sure you were given the proper information but you failed to read your cruise documents.

debbmike    8 years ago

All the information you need is explained on the website.

tpost55    8 years ago

What documentation were you lacking?

dawnro    8 years ago

Could you be a little more specific?
