Review summary

Overall the cruise was good but having to buy 2 drinking packages because of your rules sucks.  My husband drinks and because we are over 21 and shared the same room I had to buy a package also to the tune of  805.00.  For what?  I don't drink.   And I think Carnival cruise line "nickels and dimes" you to death.   Probably will choose a different cruise line next time.

You are lucky you can buy a drink package Carnival dont allow them on Australian cruises

That's to keep the dishonest people from buying one package and sharing. The cruise lines make a good chunk of their money through alcohol sales and gambling in the casino.

Why buy the package if you both don't drink? The rules are the same on all the cruise lines. You spent twice as much for no reason.

Do your research, know what things cost before you go. Your fault if you don't, not Carnival's.

You didn't have to purchase the package. My hubby and I are not the biggest drinkers but on our cruise back in May we drank for me 4-5 pina colada a day and my husband had a handful too. Spent $375 in drinks combined. Better than paying $800 for the package.

You didn't have to purchase the drink package your husband could have just bought his drinks seperatly and it probably would have saved you some money.

You don't need to buy the drink package he could have just paid as he went and it would have been cheaper if you don't drink.
