Review summary

We enjoyed our cruise to Alaska on the Legend.  Our only regret was not having enough time in the ports to explore the sights.  After we completed our excursion it was time to board the ship.  We only had time to explore in Skagway, AK.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the dining room was excellent. The food at the buffet had good taste but in the evening the food was cool to cold.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We don't like the way the repeat the shows. We like the old way. Different show each day.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service was great. We like Carnival and appreciate their staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was good.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice size room.

Ship tip

We would like longer stays in ports in order to explore. The food in the dining room was great at dinner and at brunch during sea days. The buffet food was well prepared, but in the evening served cool to cold. It was very hard to find seating during lunch on the Lido deck.

I wish you wouldn't lower the cruise ship's rating because of that. That's the case for any cruise ship/cruise line. Before you book an excursion you need to look and see how long it runs. Some are shorter than others so you could still have time to explore the port. Like with any cruise it's your responsibility to see how long you're in port and how long an excursion runs and plan accordingly.
