My friend and I had a very nice time on the Carnival Glory. We booked our flight through Carnival and was very disappointed in our arrangements on our return trip home. It ended up we got off the ship @ 8:30 and did not return home until after 9pm and we were only going to Jersey. The port we stopped at were great especially Grand Cayman Islands. The boat was not able to dock is Casa Maya so we missed that stop which was a mild disappointment. The comedians on the boat were great!!! The food was very good. I believe there should be more options for entertainment between 4 and 7. The staff was great.

Loud ,brassy, dirty, infested with bed bugs. by Uccia

The cruise would have been good if there weren't so many rowdy kid on board. .The food wasn't great, just passable..Ditto for the entertainment. Service and courtesy of personnel was good. I was bitten on my last night by bed bugs - one bad bites on each leg and one bad bite on my back. I am still itching, Have washed and dried everything washable and disposed of he rest.. The shore excursions were good, but we didn't get off on Costa Maya because of bad weather.

OK CRUISE by justina77304484

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was full, with a lot of children because it was spring break. The crew seemed tired to me, doing their job, but not really happy. The food in the dining room was ok, but small portions. Several times during the cruise food ordered was not served, for example soup in the dining room or salad dressing from room service. The entertainment in the theater was disappointing compared to past Carnival cruises. Seemed like Carnival is saving money by not offering quality entertainment.

Not like Disney but good. by kelscols

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I felt the cruise was a good cruise and food was good. The cabin service was amazing and always kept clean. Our dinner service was slow and food quality was good but not great. The entertainment was good but not as good as I expected. We usually travel with Disney Cruiselines and are used to Disney entertainers. All in all yes we would cruise with Carnival again and had a great time.

poor experience by Yogita

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I'm sorry but I will not sail with carnival again. Their customer service was terrible. On 3/22 I was on the phone with them trying to speak to a supervisor ans was on the phone with them for 4.5 hrs. from 5pm to 9:30pm. no joke. I was traveling with my family 8 in our party. we had plans to be in a wedding at the grand turks but friday before we sailed i received an e-mail @ 5pm indicating that will not be going there because of medical reasons. carnival made no other arrangements other that a so call fun day at sea. Sorry but frankly when I book a trip like this one I'm looking to do activities off the ship and minimize my time on the ship. we were basically forced to spend an extra day at sea. After being on the phone with carnival for 4.5 hrs I was told by the supervisor I spoke with (PJ) that if we pay for 4 ports we should get 4 ports and if there were changes to a port the cruise line usually arrange to go to another port. It sucks that we missed the wedding at the grand turks but what is worst is that carnival knew about this issues weeks before the actual cruise date and they waited until last minute to notify passengers. the experience I had left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will never use carnival again. carnival is not very accommodating & they really don't seem to care that they are loosing customers.

Great Staff by Vinnycaz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have been on man cruises before, alot of the ships are multinational ships, and this was no exception, th staff made this cruise, yes the ship was beautiful like a few others out there, it was more colorful than most but the dining for me was not the best, the food was good but bland, the times in the dining room were bad as we had late seating with 2 small kids so it was hard and when we did make it to dining , only 1 time we were stuck in a corner, and were ignored, waiters were fair even though theyh had fun with others we were ignored, so if you have small kids at late seating i would recommend you change it, they do offer anytime seating but we couldnt get in so we buffett the whole time, also we did not get into the steak house on our anniversary my long pants got ruing by an exploding ink pen but I had nice khaki shorts and nice button down colored shirt with new loafers and my wife was dressed to kill, we were turned away, we were disappointed for sure, the camp was great for the kids but the tipping was out of hand for the kids, my kids only received special treatment at camp and therefore while we did tip the camp carnival we thought they should not have to tip the wait staff since there mother and I tended to all there needs and the kids were pretty much ignored, not like on a disney cruise where they are superstars, but the cruise was very good for the family,as the ship had alot to do, it was very nice and clean and overall a 4 star, not a 5 for sure even if we went alone without kids 4 and a half would have been at best because of the food quality, and the rooms which were good and clean but small, and the personel which were excellent except for a few of the norweigen and india people whom seemed annoyed to serve you, the filipino, thai and balinese where 10 star and you could not have asked for better anywhere and were the best I have ever came across, went above and beyond the normal service , if the rest of the crew did this it may have gotten a 5 star with better food and dining but with those 2 things it deserves a 4, my brother recent came off the dream with a mostly India staff and said it was not very good he liked the ship, but the food tasted like everything had curry in it and the staff was a dud, glory should stay with the filipino and thai and balinese staff totally and they would be better off, i dont want to sound prejudice as I have some indian friends and norweigen also but it seemd those from countries where they are not as needy dont provide a great quality of service as those whom are 3rd world even though i would not consider thailand 3rd world anymore. the balinese should also be mentioned in this for sure they were also friendly and great, I would take this ship again with different itinerary or same with same staff only and maybe carnival can upgrade it by adding filipinos and thais and balinese more to the ship and getting rid of the rest.

Did not get to see all the Ports by magic49r

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We did not get to go Grand Turk, most of the guests felt they knew it was a problem there before we boarded the ship and that we could've stayed longer at another port, nassau, st.thomas or san juan.

Caribbean Cruise, Carnival Glory by CruiserG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was overall very good. The service on the ship was outstanding! The drink prices were less than I anticipated. The food in the main dining area was good but not great. We had dinner in the Emerald SteakHouse one night and the food there was fantastic! I was disappointed with some of the ports. I didn't care for Costa Maya or Roatan very much. Although, Cozumel and Grand Cayman were very good. There are plenty of activities onboard to keep you busy. I do think that Carnival should expand on their shows more. They have scaled down on the production since our last cruise and the shows are way too short. In conclusion, this was my second Carnival cruise and my wife's third, and we will definitely sail with Carnival again!!

March 2013 Caribbean Cruise by airboss

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

The Carnival Glory was very well maintained and offered a lot of opportunities for fun and enjoyment. Some of the land excursions that they offered, especially those not involving a beach and snorkeling could have been better.

People are unfriendly, language barrier is ridiculous. I got food poisoning on Wednesday night of our cruise and had to skip an excursion. Three cruise ship confiscated toys we bought for our kids and lost them. They refused to keep looking fort them and offered no resolution. I will never cruise carnival again.

Glory Eastern Carib by BillS15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Very pleased overall. I liked the food options esp. Guys Burger Joint. Guys alone will make me book again with Carnival. Pizza was also very good, MDR had several options that you could choose if you did not want was on the nightly menu. I can't comment much on the buffets as I usually ate at Guys every lunch. Seemed to have a good selection and very good dessert options. Service was very good, we had anytime dining and different waitstaff in the MDR every night. No problems with any of them. Cabin stewerts were very friendly and helpful. My biggest disapoint was the main showlounge entertainment. Not much varitiy and Carnivals new video screen background is impressive, but sometimes overshadowed the performers. Performers were good dancers but not great singers. Too much emphisis on the video screen and not the performance. I would have liked to seen a varity act or two, magic etc. Comedy club was very good all commedians were very funny. Carnival has a great thing going with the George Lopez Comedy Club idea. I have been on several cruise lines and I must say that for the money Carnival is a great value. If you do not have a good time, it is your fault.

7days with Glory by ruthie3328

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Carnival Glory was acceptable but not the best of Carnival lines, the food was excellent. and the service and staff, could not have been better, but the entertainment, was not as good as on previous Carnival cruises. The lighting show was very good, but took away from the dances .. Our cabin was very cold, we complained, but were told this is how it is supposed to be, consequently we ended up with a head cold for the last 3 days ... This was our 4th cruise with Carnival, but I think it will be our last..

could have been better by jtwitch3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

On excursion days, food such as pizza should have been prepared in bulk before people began rebording, to deminish waiting in line and angry people. We did not appreciate things being moved around in our bathroom. Entertainment was subpar and the room where the theatrics were, volume was far too loud. Comedy was only worth going to the latter half of the trip. Meals at dinner time could have been better, desserts such as the chocolate molten cake were rarely cooked all the way. staff on the ship such as waiters were very good, they did a terrific job. Using more than one exit and entrance to the ship would be nice if possible to prevent long lines, this is something Royal implements and is very effective at. There are a lot of things that should be improved upon, but it is important to note that we did enjoy our time.

Carnival Glory Caribbean by willis3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We enjoyed our seven night cruise (Feb 17-24) on Carnival Glory. Even though Carnival is the WalMart of cruise lines, it was a good value. We stayed in an Ocean Suite (Deck Seven) which was very nice - lots of room, very large bathroom. We were disappointed that Carnival decided to cancel the stop in Belize and instead went to Costa Maya. It should be noted that Carnival advised us of the change well after the deadline for us to cancel. The food was fine in the Golden Resturant, better than previous Carnival Cruises. Carnival needs to better coordinate the timing of the excursions. We were left standing at the port in Grand Caymen for more than an hour (Turtle Farm tour). Overall, a very nice cruise, and we would recommend it to others.

Bday cruise by COMaggie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

The best part of the cruise were the dinners and the GREAT team, led by Enrico. The drinks were juice, ie, they had little or no alcohol and when paying more than $8, I was totally disappointed.
