Typical cruise, fun in the sun by amlatta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall a great cruise. Weather was fantastic. Not a lot of children onboard since many American schools were still in session. Typical cruise. Only thing that surprised me is they don't do the midnight buffet with the ice sculptures and food carvings anymore. Would definitely recommend.

Overall, I enjoyed my vacation. Had a blast in the ports as well as on the ship. I will not cruise on an older ship like this again... but I will always cruise carnival. Already planning one for March... on the DREAM!

Eastern Caribbean Cruise by tcherie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I enjoy the cruise. However, it would be nice for there to be an indoor cigar bar. It's unfair to allow cigarette smoking at the casino bar, but cigar smokers have to go outside on the deck.

Great Cruise, would do it again ! by wrav

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our third Carnival cruise and like the others it was excellent. The food was very good, especially the Steakhouse. The crew was always friendly and smiling. There was all kinds of activities going on, but if you just want some quiet relaxation there is the serenity area for adults only. And don't miss Guy's Burgers.

I give it a 9!!! Would have been a 10 if we had met some single men our age! by tasturrock

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We didn't want to go home...Glory is an older ship that has been renovated in 2017. Older but still very nice, easy trip, no illness...Eastern Caribbean is such a nice change from our Wester Caribbean which we go on all the time from Galveston! The nite activities are plentiful and there is much to do. We didn't gamble because the smoke is too much for our systems...wish they had a better filtration system, so we walked past it to other activities. Staff wonderful, balcony room on the 6th floor was easy to get to and from the front or back of the ship. I would go on this cruise again...

Carnival has my vote for best cruiseline ever. I have cruised with them many times and enjoyed every one. The Glory was fun. The food was awesome, the entertainment great, the cabins clean and comfortable. I am already planning my next cruise. by djverdon

Relaxing Caribbean Cruise by racanorw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall, a great cruising experience. The one problem, however, my son had a bad cold and as a precaution I took him to the doctor on board. He was subject to a battery of unnecessary tests, since it was obvious that he just needed some usual over-the-counter medicine that we forgot to bring. He did not have fever, or nausea, for example. The final bill was close to $700, which I consider an outrage.

Good cruise on older ship by meliussar3423

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Great cruise on an older ship. Truly enjoyed the BarBQ joint, awesome beef brisket, and the seafood shack. The Amor Cubans show was awesome. The Motown show was good even though i had seen on a few other ships. The Tender process back from Grand Cayman and Belize left a lot to be desired. The lines were super long and it was super hot and there were not enough boats for transport.

Two Thumbs Down by pbs19643

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I have been on two Carnival Cruise Ships, this one (Glory) was nothing like the other two ships that I've been on. The Cruise Director did not set the tone for the cruise, the buffet food did not have a wide variety, and some of wait staff in the dinning room wmwere not friendly.

Nice, but mediocre food and overworked staff stays on our minds... by vzettler

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were pretty unhappy with the food on the trip and the terribly LONG lines to get any food. We let them know that we had 3 vegetarians, one is gluten-free and the choices were pretty minimal except for breakfast. There was no gluten free (bread etc) at all. The vegetarian was the same each night with a small change in the type of curry, the rice that came with it got older and older as the week went on. The staff is overworked, so they are not super friendly, they seem very indifferent and don't care for make contact or help or even answer a lot of questions. Our cabin person was very personable and the people who were our servers in the dinner restaurant we occasioned were also pretty nice, but overworked, so it was hard to get things we needed at times. The cruise is inexpensive and we guess they have to cut somewhere, but on thanksgiving night for example, there was no food for the vegetarians...they brought out a small dish of peas and carrots that were from a can or from frozen...not acceptable really.
