We didn't want to go home...Glory is an older ship that has been renovated in 2017. Older but still very nice, easy trip, no illness...Eastern Caribbean is such a nice change from our Wester Caribbean which we go on all the time from Galveston! The nite activities are plentiful and there is much to do. We didn't gamble because the smoke is too much for our systems...wish they had a better filtration system, so we walked past it to other activities. Staff wonderful, balcony room on the 6th floor was easy to get to and from the front or back of the ship. I would go on this cruise again...

Food and Dining

Have you had a Twilight Zone? Yummy almost a Pina Colada! Waite staff at dinner bends over backwards to make me a Colorado Bulldog... I had a low salt diet due to Kidney Transplant...The Chef's accommodated me perfectly in the main diner for dinner and breakfast...just wish I could have said Thank you with a tip (envelopes are no longer given to us on the last day of dining). Didn't need to eat at Specialty restaurants bc there was so many other places to choose from; BBque, Seafood, Burrito and Tacos and Hamburgers! All of these are excellent, esp the Seafood Kits. We bought the Lobster Rolls and they were perfect. Hamburger and fries amazing. The Deli looked good and I don't eat Sushi but it was there...Amazing variety and eating on the Lido (I don't like touching the serving utensils because of my Transplant low immunity but the food was good but what made it better than 5 yrs ago when I last cruised was the washing stations! Good for you Carnival!
Onboard Activities

We went up to the Serenity area and the back of the boat to get away from loud kids, but these solitude places made you think...what kids! The spa was nice, the games and competitions were entertaining but the adult areas were well used! ONE complaint; The movies were great and I would have watched more of them BUT; the noise level coming from the pool during the 2nd movie (9 to 12) was almost washed out by young kids (6 to 9) screaming at the top of their lungs even though the life guard asked them to keep it down. Personally I feel kids of those ages should be watched by their parents or in their cabins ay a curfew...I didn't see any parents supervising these kids and they didn't venture over to the loungers were ever one was watching Hans Solo. Plz consider getting notes from the parents if they are watching the movie or roping it off after 9 which is the 2nd feature. I am a retired teacher and I think it's a parents obligation to make sure their kids are behaving, not the lifeguard. So no more outdoor movies for me after that one night.

We went to the shows with the 8 performing entertainers...OMG...what a talented bunch. I loved all of them, but my fav was the 80's performance...The costumes and special affects were amazing and I"ve been on other cruises (10 to count) 6 with carnival...this was very special!
Service and Staff

Our Maria in the 6 pm time slot was so very kind and professional. We loved her and her team! Our room staff was also very good; Coman and an older gentleman at night were outstanding in service.

It was amazing how quickly tables on the Lido were bussed...the staff was patient and helpful...They have to put up with kids dropping ice cream cones and parents not cleaning it up themselves...the staff is priceless, I hope Carnival is giving them the money they deserve, because they are superheroes and make Carnival look good.
Cabin / Stateroom

The AC could have been better but we were very comfy, it was hard to regulate the thermostat. Loved our Balcony, but repair is needed at the base of the outside door due to corrosion, perhaps that is why the door was difficult to open? The rest of the room was great with plenty of storage, beds comfy and the shower was superb (great temp and pressure). The decor was fitting and simple oh, the vanity mirror light doesn't stop flicking on and off...not a big deal but you need to know as well as the large flush button, it looks like it's going to fall off...Still the room was great and smelled good, we asked for extra hangers and got them! Towels and robes were soft and absorbing! Thanks for the robes!
Ship tip
Sometimes the elevators are frustrating...I have a bad knee and had to wait a long time...most likely due to the abuse of repeat cruisers who know how to manipulate the buttons to bypass floors to reach theirs faster. this happened at least 7 times...I would just watch the elavator pass our floor up, sometimes there was a wait of 5 minutes. Only staff should have access to bypass a floor.
Lovey tour of what the island has to offer; some of their sea life, a closeness to the Burmuda triangle and the expensive houses on the island along with stories about those houses, even the haunted on. When I cruise I always want to know about the history of the island I'm visiting, this was lovely and the little beach we stopped at was so nice with trees for dappled shade. Hearing about the devastating hurricanes of 2017 was very interesting.
Lovely tour but, getting there at 3 pm, meant a very short time to see the island, being older and single, we didn't feel we had the option to stay out in the dark until 9pm, like others did. We really wanted to see more of the island but it gets dark too soon. No time to shop inward to the shopping area within the heart of the city. Our tour was very good, but Carnival should have accommodated us better by landing early the morning...perhaps moving it to another day.
Wonderful tour by boat to St Johns' we explored the shopping early at the port but it was crowded and a lot of traffic with no stop signs for the residence...we needed some Police there to ticket some people driving too fast and ignoring pedestrians. Shops were lovely glad we had time to shop. St Johns is gorgeous and the tour was very informative, boat ride was fun as well. We wish we had been provided with a meal or snack on the 45 min boat ride to St Johns, no place near to eat on St John.
By far the best port and best shopping, even a resort that is generous to let you swim...The Monster trucks were too big and wild for me, thank God we were traded a smaller truck when we had to move to a different truck due to one of their packed WILD trucks breaking down...my prayers were answered cuz that diesel smell, sitting in the hot truck with blocked window due to the size of that truck made me take a Bonine and have a bag ready!!! They were sweet to give us cold bottle water, but take the smaller safari truck for the 45 min ride rough road to their WILD Adventure part for Zip lining. Zip Line was nice but not real exciting...flying over the water was very nice, but the heat and climbing the stairs wasn't. Thank you for the water mid way, nice touch. Staff was great although one guide was a little TESTY. Lunch was great and the little beach, showers and palm trees were lovely.
