Wonderful Caribbean Cruise by cjlgd90

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Embarkation was excellent - probably the best we've ever had of all our numerous cruises. As far as bar service and regular service on the first day - was not great. In fact, it was down right terrible service. We met someone who told us that it would get better (for this ship) after the 1st day and it did. Romaine is excellent! I could listen to him play for hours. The comedians were some of the best we had heard. The stage shows were awful -- don't waste your time on them. Rarely saw or heard from the cruise director except on disembarkation day -- about a million times repeating how to get off the ship. Other than that, it was a great cruise. Not my favorite cruise but definitely not the worst either.

Magical Caribbean Cruise by kimlecato

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

I had an amazing time on the carnival glory.. Wish they had way more vegetarian vegan options for food. Love the 18 and older pool in the back of the ship which was strictly enforced.

Beautiful cruise horrible ending by anthony2009

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My mother fell on the last night of the cruise from a drink that was spilled and never cleaned up so the floor was sticky. She required lots of medical, she was placed in a neck brace wrist brace and wheelchair. I went to guest services waited 45min to ask if we can get assistance the next day with her luggage and transportation off the ship. I was told someone would be up to transport her and her luggage at 7 am. Noone arrived I called down to guest services they stated they were sending someone up. After waiting a half hour for service we could not wait any longer because we had a early flight so we had to make several trips up and down. Finally someone met us to help transport her. When we went to leave the ship the gentleman that was transporting her was stopped by security and security stated my mother had to get out of the wheelchair and walk because the staff did not have correct I'd. After several minutes of arguing with security my mother crying cause she was in to much pain to walk a staff member Cookie came over and stated he would transport her out and that it should not have happened this way. I give Cookie a exceptional review he was very helpful getting us off the ship. This was are first cruise I booked 18 of us and due to our experience with guest services and security we will not be cruising again with carnival..also my mother now has high medical bills that she now has to pay due to a injury on ur ship. We will not be cruising with carnival after this experience!!

Fun by jannell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We were supposed to of gotten a fifty dollar credit. Many in our group of forty got it. Many of us did NOT. When we went to the desk and asked about it they said we had to go though Vacations to go. Well I set this whole thing up for forty people. How does it work that some got it and some did not? Not it’s going to be hard as hell to get it. Not happy about it at all

First Time Cruisers by jxmar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our cruise was a romantic getaway for 2 40-something first time cruisers. PROs: The selection of ports (Grand Cayman/Roatan/Belize City/Cozumel), all the food options on the Glory, dive-in movies, omelette station, elegant dinner menu, functionality of the stateroom CONs: One of our ports was cancelled, ambiguity of excursion tickets, breakfast options besides the omelette station SHIP: I didn't see the rust others have written about, I thought the outside areas were fine. The interior of the ship looks like it was decorated in the 80's instead of 20 years ago. Just go in knowing the decor is not your primary reason for booking. ENTERTAINMENT: The sea was so choppy that the Motown show was just an hour of the singers sitting in chairs singing medleys. I would hope that it's much better with the dancing. But based off the rock show and another show we caught... the dancing didn't add much. I'd give them one star. We were happier watching movies on the Lido deck. The comedians were pretty good. Better get there early, the place gets packed for the late shows. I enjoy piano bars, so I made it there twice. I wouldn't recommend the singer we had, but he said it was his last cruise with Carnival so hopefully they bring on someone much better. We only attended the finale of the lip sync battle because we met one of the contestants during the week. We were pleasantly surprised, it was actually the best show we caught all week. The Cruise Director and fun squad get involved and it is very entertaining. The hairy chest contest was hilarious, but I don't recommend bringing kids to it. FOOD: Great selection of specialty venues, and most of them were free. I just wish those were open more often. The breakfast buffet is not good. We ended up with omelettes almost every day, which takes a bit longer standing in line. The desserts, even at the buffet, were delicious. We only ate in the main dining room twice. The food at the first elegant dinner was decent, but the second elegant dinner was one of my top 10 meals ever. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: We weren't able to visit Grand Cayman due to the weather. You have to take a smaller boat called a tender to get on the island. The sea was too rough to throw a plank between the 2 boats, so we had another "fun day at sea" instead of what I was looking forward to most, swimming with stingrays. When the news was announced, the staff was not surprised. Someone asked how often this happens, and a staffer said 50%. I'm not sure if that's overall, or 50% of the time the water is choppy. But be warned if you plan on a Grand Cayman port - you might not get to see it. Thankfully Carnival automatically refunds excursion fares booked through them. The drinks are about $12 after gratuity and some occasional additional tips, so consider that when deciding on the drink package. We didn't get the package, but came within about $20 of it, so it actually is priced about right. Get the package if you're committed to drinking every day. Overall we were very happy with the experience despite some setbacks. I look forward to cruising again, possibly with Carnival.

The Glory is my favorite ship and has yet to disappoint! Everything from Embarkation to debarkation was seamless and amazing! Staff is so wonderful all over the ship! Special shout out to our waitstaff in the Platinum Dining room: Nilo, Jerry and Amir. Simply wonderful to our group of 15 women! Can’t wait to cruise on Carnival again and especially Glory!

Sorry to say but we did not enjoy our vacation! Food was sub-par, the entertainment was less than high school quality and the layout of the ship sucked! Sorry but we will no longer be cruising on Carnival ships!

Excellent cruise by groovyd23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Everything was good. Nice and relaxing. The offshore excursions were great. The only thing I did not like is I had some spa appointments and they pushed products on you like they were required. Give customers an option to purchase extra. Don't just add it to their bill and ask them to sign.

Fun in the sun on carnival glory by teresapatridge

We had a wonderful time again this year with carnival Cruise Line. They do a great job for a very reasonable price. The room noise was disappointing because I’m a light sleeper. It didn’t bother my husband. I would do this cruise again!
