A great family vacation! by LisaA22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall, we had a great time. We enjoyed a lot of time on the Lido deck - fun water slide, lots of whirlpools and couple of nice pools. Loved having 4 ports of call - Cozumel, Belize, Nassau and Costa Maya. We booked all our shore excursions on line - take the leap of faith and do this. We saved lots of money and had so much fun. The groups were smaller and the tour guides were excellent. Got to know the other people in the group as well as the guides. On the cruise lines' shore excursions you are hearded around like a herd of cows!

It could of been better by CarleneB1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I hate to say it but, it was not our greatest cruise. My husband and I traveled with our granddaughters, ages 13 and 16. This cruise was our 8th cruise and their 2nd. So we have experienced 4 to 5 star service. The dining room experience was very lacking in service and quality of food. I am a smoker so I am very courteous where I smoke and who I might offend. The area assigned for smokers was constantly dirty. I always sat at a dirty table with ash trays over flowing. If I asked for a clean ashtray they dumped out the ashed and handed it back to me not even wiped out. I would of cleaned it myself, but I was suppose to be on vacation.

What a way to see the world by Elaine3

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my 5th cruise and the 2nd time on the Glory and it was better than the first. We knew our way around better. The people on this trip from our cabin steward, casino hostess and everyone else was so pleasant and easy to talk to. I loved meeting people from all over the world. No matter what we needed they found a way to get it for us.

The best cruise I have joined.. by MichaelC30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My impression of the ship was very impressive in many aspects. I have been treated more then expected and the staff was very kind and sensitive to the needs of the guests on board. I think that the activities on board the ship could have been a little more diverse and exciting. I also would like to request a more flexible dinner options since we missed most of the shows that were being played during our 830 dinner. The only way we could actually see some shows is by having pizza from the 24 hour pizza shop on board which I do have to say was very good.

Disappointed cruiser by Rick83353101

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship(Carnival Glory) did not impress me. I didn't really care for the wood planks on the decks or balconies. The condition of the chairs especially outside dining areas were in bad shape. The Back on several chairs were loose. Casino chairs in bad condition as well. Had one break on me. Several others were loose. Just outside our room door was a big red stain on the carpet. Not very appealing as you enter the room(7248). Compared with Royal where they polish everything from day one to the last day and carnival does not even though I did see some painting going on.

What an Extrvaganza! by PatS15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

What an extravaganza!! I came on the ship with a heavy heart and left as light as a feather. The food was to die for; the staff was outstanding. No matter where I went on the ship, I was greeted with a smile and usually my name. i can't say enough about the activities and events. Thanks for making my week.

A Nice Ship but some of the people...... by LarryG6

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is beautiful, but big. Therefore there are lines and crowds that are unavoidable. The dining room menu was quite good and upscale. The dining room staff and room stewart were excellent. But, staff not directly involved with you were rude. The photography staff at the stands selling pictures were the worst. Some of the buffet staff can use some training in manners also. The ship caters to a younger crowd so be ready for unsupervised children and teens who do not know how to behave. Fights in public rooms, kids playing cards on the floor of the elevator who refuse to move so you can't get on, kids running the halls at night banging on doors, prank phone calls, food fights (observed twice at the buffet) and more........

Relaxing Cruise by MichaelS37

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Glory was a very comfortable ship. It is large and offers great choices in after dinner time. The staff in each area helps make the experience worth the money. The ship was very well maintained. The equipment in the fitness center was new and plentiful. The room was large but full of equipment and arranged to accomodate the large crowd. The men's locker room arrangement was not as well laid out as many but adequate.

Never Again Back to Back Cruise by ChristineP3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ship was nice. Camp Carnival was not up to par as other ships. Price was good for 2 weeks but prices got better for a cousin who booked 3 months after us and also got $300 cash back which we didn't (so much for booking early). We are frequent cruisers and I would definitely recommend going on an extended cruise than a back to back but this is only judging Carnival. We have done 11 night cruises and it was a lot more enjoyable than changing rooms after week one and disembarking. Dining, movies, entertainment was the same on week 2 as week 1.

Loved the cruise overall by SandhyaG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a good time as we got the chance to spend time together. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary but our air booking had us travelling separately on every sector from San Francisco to Orlando and back. Though we had indicated that my husband was requiring a heart healthy diet, this was not catered for and we were asked to choose from the general food available. We enjoyed the shows and the port visits but were disappointed by the shore excursions, especially in Nassau where the ship arrived late and the excursion did not deliver what was promised (would not recommend the glass bottom boat to any one). I think we have a mixed feeling about the trip - some good, some disappointing. One thing that must be pointed out is the outstanding attention we received from the cabin crew, dining room staff and bar staff. Their personal attention and friendly disposition made up for many of the downsides. They deserve a lot of kudos for changing the ultimate cruise experience.

Amazing experience by NeilS1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We recently sailed on the CArnival Glory for the first time (our previous experience having been on the Sensation). It left us speachless. The ship had amazing amenities and every possible need, desire or fantasy was catered for. The overall impression was of space. We are quite private people and were looking to relax - so we did not get involved with many of the 350 activities arranged for the week on board, but even though there were some 3,000+ passengers, we never felt crowded or that our 'space' was being intruded upon. We really love the Carnival level of service, style and innovation. My wife left the boat telling friends that she had never been so well looked aftrer or watied upon. .
