Loved the cruise overall

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We had a good time as we got the chance to spend time together. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary but our air booking had us travelling separately on every sector from San Francisco to Orlando and back. Though we had indicated that my husband was requiring a heart healthy diet, this was not catered for and we were asked to choose from the general food available. We enjoyed the shows and the port visits but were disappointed by the shore excursions, especially in Nassau where the ship arrived late and the excursion did not deliver what was promised (would not recommend the glass bottom boat to any one).

I think we have a mixed feeling about the trip - some good, some disappointing.

One thing that must be pointed out is the outstanding attention we received from the cabin crew, dining room staff and bar staff. Their personal attention and friendly disposition made up for many of the downsides. They deserve a lot of kudos for changing the ultimate cruise experience.

Pros: The staff and the care they showed for the most part.

Cons: The food - There was almost no attention to the Indian client and their taste liking. Nor was there any activity that would have brought in our participation. There was Oriental, lot of Italian and other foods but no Indian. The food I was offered (Indian Veg) was partly cooked and VERY oily.

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!

Ship Quality
The carpet was worn and the tiles cracked in many areas. There is certainly a run down look in many areas of the ship public area.
Food and Dining
We were disappointed in the food while the desserts were good. As an Indian used to spicy foods, we did not find much to suit our palates and the ships cook did not want to cook the only request we made. Disappointing...
Cabin / Stateroom
The stateroom was excellent.
The shows were good and the activities jam packed. However, we paid for raffles and we never saw the draw nor did we see any communication on the winners. Instructions were a little unclear at times but good for the most part.

Karaoke - has a very good list of songs but does not cater to anyone from the Asian countries who make a fair number of your clients. Having songs in Hindi, Chinese, Japanese or other languages as well will have brought more participation from these passengers.

I also wish there had been more activities to help bond the passengers together asking for a collaborative participation.
Service and Staff
This is where we were absolutely blown away. The majority of the staff were very friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. Special mention must be made to the cabin steward, dining room staff and the bar staff.
Nassau, Bahamas
This place is very pretty. I would love to retire here. Great weather, people and food. There is not enough time here so you will need to focus on a single activity. Shopping is very reasonable... recommended
Don't Miss: Pleasure Island visit - Atlantis Resort.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Shopping at the port is expensive, but take a taxi to the Mahahual village and you will get much better prices.
Don't Miss: Loved the Chachoben Mayan ruins.
Belize City, Belize
Loved the people and their sense of humor. Shopping was expensive. The music is great.
Don't Miss: Jungle buggy trip, mayan caves and cave tubing highly recommended
Cozumel, Mexico
While the excursions we booked were cancelled due to choppy seas, we enjoyed taking a private tour of the island, the culture, the city , the El; Cedros mayan descendants village and the private baeches. The drive around the siland was very nice and there are a number of activities that one could do on shore. Shopping can be a good experience - bargaining is a must.
Don't Miss: Drive over the entire island. It is only 9 miles but very pretty.
