The Wonderful Cruise by TabithaH1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I went on one other cruise with Royal Cribian in the past and let me tell you I had much more fun on Crnivel Glory. There was a tone of things to do all day and the ports were nice. They have a wonderful kids program and night life so you can enjoy yourself as well. I did not take my kids but we are going as a family next ime. A few people said the kids like Camp Carnivel better then Disney. And if you are thinking about getting on Glory you must check oout the platnium Dinner room. It is wonderful and and exciting. This ship is more then I expected.

Mixed review of Carnival Glory by TriciaD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This being my 8th cruise and 3rd on Carnival, I was very surprised to find a severe lack in the following areas: Intercoms for announcements were not working in our balcony room or on the verandah, so we had to open the cabin doors each time an announcement was made. Outdoor Lighting on Verandah was prohibited and not working unless the ship was in port, so people who rise early or stay up late cannot utilize their balcony for reading until the sun is up. We never saw our cabin steward except for turndown of beds once and awhile. Minibar was not restocked with sodas every 24 hours as stated. In fact, even when asked to stock, it wasn't done. Food on the Lido Deck, especially in the Red Sail Restaurant, was horrible. Hot foods were cold. Cold foods were warm. Coffee/creamer/cups were lacking or absent entirely. There were tons of children totally out of control and running all over the ship and using the elevators non-stop as entertainment. Obviously, their parents were "on vacation" and they did not utilize the kid's camp offered. Also, they could be found eating ice cream cones in the ADULT-ONLY hot tubs! Surely, this could have been prevented if the staff interceded - they did not!! The only positives of the cruise were two: the way the Captain handled the ship in extremely rough seas - and the evening entertainment.

Not counting the two roadblocks that occurred, which the Captain could not avoid. the ship was fine in every other way.

An unforgetable cruise by JeanR5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Glory is a beautiful ship. Even though we had to skip one port due to unsafe conditions in that port it was made up to us in many ways with fun activites on an extra day at sea. The food is very good no matter where you choose to eat. And our dining room staff was the best. They catered to our every need. Our cabin was kept very clean and our room steward was also attentive. No complaints overall except that they couldn't supply me with peanut butter, of which I am adicted. LOL Enjoyed all the wonderful entertainment, a great variety. As you can tell we were not disappointed in the cruise.

a cruise to remember by LinK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This ship was the largest we had cruised and if you don't like wall to wall people, then don't pick this ship. The lines at the Lido for breakfast and lunch were long. I felt the servers on the Lido were not as friendly as other ships and the food and cabin crew were overworked as they were so tired and had bloodshot eyes. The worst is that the cruise got back back to Port Canaveral 8 hours late due to a sick crew member who has to be airlifted close to Peurto Rico, way off our course.causing hundreds of people to miss their flights and literally stranding hundreds if not more than a thousand people, some from overseas and others that had flights our west. We missed our 3pm flight and didn't get home until the nesxt afternoon at our cost. Carnival did not offer to help with the arrangments, only connect you to your ari carrier at no cost. This is the last time we will take a Carnival Cruise.

Great Cruise! by AT266

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was kept very clean. The staff on the ship was wonderful. The food was excellent and the wait staff was even better. The first night of the cruise they asked us if we were celebrating something special and we told them our anniversary. Well the wait staff remembered and brought us a cake with a candle and they sang Happy Anniversary to us. It was so special and I was very impressed. The only thing I was upset about is that we purchased the DVD of the Cruise and during the opening entertainment my husband was choosen out of the crowd to be on stage and I had asked before I purchased the DVD if that would be on the DVD because it was on TV all week and I was told it would be and it was not.

Desserts lack UMPH! by MarkG9

WOW! This was our first cruise together & it won't be our last. We celebrated our 25th anniversary. The cruise ship staff made us feel like a king & queen. Every time we walked past a cruise ship employee they went out of their way to speak & were sooo friendly!! Our room was wonderful. The ports of call were so much fun! The smokers needed to be left behind. We were able to avoid them for the most part, but when you encountered a large group of them it was miserable. Maybe Carnival will BAN smoking like some of the other ships do. We will seek a non-smoking ship in the future.

A Great Cruise by RichardL8

This was our second cruise on the Carnival Glory and as expected, the courtesy of all the staff and service was exceptional. Other cruise lines can learn from the way that the Carnival Staff treat their customers.

Great Cruise! by Mj4

We sailed the carnival Glory to the Eastern Caribbean, Nassau, St Thomas, St Martin, the ship was beautiful, clean shinny and bright, staff was very friendly, always eager to be of assistance. the food was always super good, the red sail on the lido deck, was very good, you always had good choices, deli, oriental, fish and chips, burgers and fries, carved meats, sushi if your into that.....the cruise director, Butch, was a HOOT! lots going on ,on sea days, I even attended scrapbooking sessions, the hot tubs were oblong, bigger than most, never felt overly crowded.Great Cruise!

Mixed feelings by JanetM9

We had the misfortune on being on the cruise where a fellow passenger lost her life while on a tubing excursion. That being said it sounds awful to say we had a blast. The cruise was one of the best I have ever been on. Great stops, wonderful food & excellent service

Not so great cruise by MikeD2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Thought the cruise was so/so at best. The destinations I found to be depressing( Just extreme poverty ) and very little to do. The only excersion that I thought was Ok a woman drowned (cave tubing Belize). I have been on many Carnival cruises and thought they were great. This was again So/So.

Carnival Glory by Stinkerbelle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The buffet food was not good. The breakfast buffet was tasteless. The dining room food was not a lot better. I'm not a picky eater but this, as usual for Carnival food, was a disappointment. Be prepared to eat a lot of cereal and salads. The balcony stateroom was roomy and comfortable. The staff members were attentive and helpful. The jeep, cavern and beach excursion in Cozumel was a disappointment. The explanation of the excursion forgot to mention that you had to get into extremely cold water in the cavern to actually see the cavern. Then the guide only took us around the corner, talked a few minutes, then led us back to get out. People on the excursion were very unhappy with this part. The beach and buffet were great. The jeep was fun for my husband to drive, but you needed to be six feet tall to get into the jeep. A step stool needs to be provided for elderly and short people. I had to be manhandled by a complete stranger to get in and out of the jeep three times. Not much bang for the buck with this excursion. We cancelled our cavetubing excursion in Belize because I strained my back getting in and out of the jeep in Cozumel. We were very glad we did d/t the fact that to get to the river you had to walk 1/4 mile carrying your tube, the river was high and the current was extremely strong. There were too many people and not enough guides. A woman hit her head in the cavern and drowned, traumatizing not only her family but also everyone on the ship.

Carnival Glory by WilliamF2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a great trip. The staff and activities were great. Only one incident where an activity was published and no one showed to run the activity. It wasn't a big deal, a crossword and trivia activity, but I am a crossword lover and it was kinda of dissapointing not to be able to participate. We played our share of bingo and enjoyed all of the shows. Our room service was top notch thanks to Joseph. When we ate in the dinning room everything was excellent, except maybe for the breads. At both the dinning room and buffett the breads were very hard and not easy to eat with dentures. The ship was clean with staff always right there to remove dirty dishes and empty ashtrays. Carnival should be made aware of a hazard upon departure. We had cleared customs, gathered our luggage and were heading to our parking area when I tripped in the walkway crossing the road in front of the terminal. Needless to say I landed square on my face receiving several bumps and scratches to my face and hands. The baggage attemdemt and my wife said I tripped on a drainage grate. The security people were very helpful in getting me up and to a place to wait while my wife retrieved the car. The attendant told my wife that this happens "quite a bit". I am not bitter as I feel some responsibility for the fall, although I feel something should be done to prevent this from happening again. We plan, hope, to take another cruise soon.

Not ever having been on a cruise before, we did not know what to expect. Ship was clean and the service was more than we expected. The crew made us feel very welcomed. We had so much fun, that when we returned to Cape Canaveral we did not want to get off.
