Be careful which room you choose if you stay on Lido Deck. There are sun decks above some rooms that make it impossible to sleep when the crew is moving the chairs all night to clean!!!

Don't sweat the small stuff. We did not make one of our destinations but carnival keept us safe and added pleanty of activity thanks to our Cruise directior Ema that the slight disappointment was tolerable

Do your research before booking your cruise. We were first timers on this ship and had a good time, but now that we know that there are so many more options we won’t be booking a cruise on a ship like the freedom again. It’s good for first timers to get a feel of whether or not they like cruising since typically this ship is cheaper than the Vista (which also goes out of galveston).

Check you bags at the curbside porter at the terminal. 1.00 tip per bag is well worth not having to lug all of your stuff with you. We kept 1 small carryon bag. It held our medicine jewelry electronics chargers wallets etc.

Just relax. It's a decent ship. No there is not a whole lot like other ships but there is enough to have a pleasant cruise.

You have to use Carnival's Senerity area if travel with 21 or older. Very quite and relaxing.
