We had our first cruise on the Carnival freedom in 2016. We were hooked from the very moment et we stepped aboard. We made a few rookie mistakes but learned many new things as well. The Freedom is by far our favorite ship to date. 3 cruises on her!

Review summary

Our first cruise o. The Carnival Freedom was fantastic. The food was great. We didn't realize we could eat in the main dining room. Our fault. We should have asked. Lol. The cruise director was Malcolm Woohoo Burns. He was the best. So funny and kept us laughing the whole cruise. We had a great time and couldn't wait to cruise again.

Embarkation

We got in line with our luggage and went through the whole process of security and check in. Took about 1.5 hours. Then we went and found our area and waited to board.

Our whole experience was amazing. Our room steward Tbomas was hands down the best. Always asking how we are doing and just an absolute nice gentleman. 5 stars!

We loved the whole ship! Amazing experience.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was the perfect size. We had portholes and they were really cool. Had some rough weather but it was neat to see and hear the waves splashing on the ship and our portholes!

Ship tip

Check you bags at the curbside porter at the terminal. 1.00 tip per bag is well worth not having to lug all of your stuff with you. We kept 1 small carryon bag. It held our medicine jewelry electronics chargers wallets etc.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy to get off the ship.
