Overall, it was an OK cruise. Food was average and wait staff at dinner was overwhelmed with too many tables..but they did their best and were a joy. Midnight Party on deck was pre-empted by folks watching the Maimi heat basketball game. There was very little dancing which I remember doing quite a bit of during our last carnival cruise. Disco was dead and required your license to get in. They had a live band in a small area outside Casino - but a very small dance floor and lots of SMOKE - since this was a smoking area. The ship did get a good spot at all the ports of call.

The music on the lido deck was boring there should of been more Caribbean music and the movie screen was showing to much events that were happening inside the ship I think that if u wanted to know what was going in the talk events inside we will. Be inside. The lines for the food in the lido deck was unbelievable a 30 minute wait on line was not acceptable.

We loved our cruise! Everything was great. Only a few minor things were left to be desired. The pizzeria only keeps pepperoni and cheese pizza on hand. I loved the De Chevre pizza on my last cruise, but I had to make a special request and wait 15-20 minutes for one to be made. When housekeeping cleaned my stateroom, they would take my wet beach towel but not replace it with a clean, dry towel. The drinks were too expensive! I was happy to pay the 15% gratuity because the service was always amazing and everyone worked so hard. I know that Carnival is able to make each drink quite cheaply because they buy overseas in bulk, but the prices were comparable to any bar or restaurant in the states.

I had a great time the people were great the food was even better.

a week of nice relaxation! will avoid Jamiaca in the future.

Great ship and crew

We had loads of fun, we were traveling with three family members that had never cruised before and watching there reaction to the things going on around them was priceless.

If cruising with a a family with kids above 7, check out the activities onboard. Carnival should offer activities up to midnight at no charge because there are several adult activities to do. For 2 kids, I would pay $15/hr each night over what I already paid for the cruise. Also, Carnival should re-evaluate their actual activities and time they do paid for activities (early evening). Ship size is almost too big as far as waiting in buffet lines, chairs by pool, waiting to get on and off ship at ports. We waited 1 and 1/2 hours in hot afternoon sun in line in Cayman islands to get back on ship. RIDICULOUS! Why are there no garbage cans in the commom areaa of the ship. Very iritating to have to go into a stinky bathroom every time you need to throw something away. The decor of the ship is OK but it make the ship look older than it actually is and kind of on the dark side. I would give the ship a "C" grade but will look into other options next time.

We had a blast with the karaoke nights and the piano player sean is amazing! I want to thank dancer Allison for making me feel comfortable before my performance in Legends!

The ship was nice....but first impression of the decor was not good.

Being named the Carnival Freedom, I loved the ship's decor with images related to the Statue of Liberty & freedom.

The ship looks awesome. Very clean. Western Caribbean water is beautiful amazingly pretty. Jamaican bobsled and zip line excursion was great.

Freedom is a bit older but kept very clean. Staff is excellent, top notch. Food was just average, however buffets were plentiful with a large variety.

Excellent cruise. Only dissapointment was that we never got to meet the Captain.

In general, you get what you paid for.

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY, AND ATTENTIVE. THE SHIP WAS VERY CLEAN. THE DEBARKATION WAS VERY EFFICIENT.

The Carnival Freedom cruise to Key West, Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman was nice. We had a really good time. The decor of the ship's lobby and other common areas was not as beautifiul as I am used to seeing on other Carnival ships. Because the Freedom is an older ship, I should have expected that. The decor of the stateroom, however, was great. The service the ship's staff provided from housekeeping to room service to dining room service was excellent. In addition, the ship was very clean. The shows and planned activities were just okay -- again, not as good as I have previously experienced on other Carnival ships. Nevertheless with all things considered, we had a good time.

Wonderful ports of call and awesome ship crew members. I was extremely disappointed when said we got a room "upgrade." This was NOT an upgrade! We upgraded from interior to porthole room, which states that the beds are convertible into a king size bed - NOT TRUE we had bunk beds. My husband and I were disappointed about this because we are celebrating our belated 2 year wedding anniversary.
