I realize this is a smaller and older ship but I also know that updates have been made. Will I be back on the Elation? That's a tough question. There were parts I loved and parts not so much. I did not like the Hub app and how it totals. It only shows total charges and even though it shows the credits they are not reflected. I also wish that it would show a start time and end time on the activities so we could plan them better. Also, we were charged 15% for gratuities automatically. We did not eat at the dining room all 5 nights but we have to pay gratuities for all 5? And what if I wanted to tip more in another area? That wasn't an option. As far as dining, on previous cruises that I have been on they have not had the additional fees if you want lobster or steak in the dining room. Kevin was funny. We loved BK. We hope that he gets his own ship to be the cruise director on.

Great choice and would recommend! Plan ahead on the shore excursions, and take advantage of the tours they have set up. Worth the money.

This trip cured me of ever wanting to cruise again. Ugh!

Too windy with contued choppy waters for days. Nauseous most of the trip. Constantly taking meds for nausea and vomiting

I didn't get to embark. I purchased two fairly high prices tickets ($1,200 all in). The fees and taxes were huge (several hundred dollars). I had a last minute change of travel partner. They said they would charge me full price to remove them, then not even sell me another ticket because they had stop taking sales due to fully booked trip. Obviously there was an extra bed in my cabin because someone was pulling out. I was just trying the replace one person for another. Ridiculous,.

Overall the cruise was decent. However my middle child witnessed a death. It was very disturbing and we were never offered any condolences or emotional support at all. Basically they swept it under the rug. We called after the cruise and were only offered three visits to a counselor. It would have been much nicer to acknowledge that he saw it and offer him condolences at that time. As for the fact, maybe they didn’t know?! Yes they knew because he ran to get help and the cruise director.

Great cruise. My only issue was that they only have CNN as an option for news. Frustrating as it was all presidential bashing.

We enjoyed everything. We really enjoyed the watermelon and fresh oranges everyday. I think the watermelon is the only thing that my sister and I ate everyday. The guys are the burger and fries at least once a day.

Everything was great with the exception of the Cruise Director. Service was wonderful. This is the first Carnival cruise that I have had issues with.

The Elation was a great ship. There was plenty of activity , and the ports were as expected. I've been to the Bahamas before, so just a day in each port was plenty. I did a lot of research via social media on the ship and ports and felt well prepared. Everything lived up or passed expectations. There was a lot of buzz on the Shipmate app about Nassau being full of hawkers and/or dangerous. Nothing like that was experienced by us. Once reason may be due to the fact we were in port before the shops opened, so no one was bugging us as we walked around the front street. We found the people extremely friendly and open. We had a few occasions where folks guided us by hand to places we wanted to go. They just operate on "island time" which doesn't gel well with the limited time we have in port. There was also a lot of negativity expressed about Princess Cays being "just a beach". Yeah, well.... what do you expect when you go to a private island? It was all we dreamed it would be. Even though our weather wasn't ideal. we still had a blast swimming and snorkeling. We brought our own equipment, even a hammock, and had a thoroughly relaxing day. I'd love to come back!

We really enjoyed ourselves and are planning our next cruise

It seems as if Carnival Cruise Line was more concerned with marketing what they had for sale on the ship versus paying attention to their customers needs

I had a great time and my first cruise experience was awesome. Great friendly staff.

This was my first time ever cruising. I wasn't really impressed. Too many issues. I don't think I'll be going on another cruise.

It was a great first time cruise! The ship wasn't overwhelming and the staff and updates on the ship were on point!

Booking 2 more for next year. We all had a great time the only complaint was from our 15 son that wanted to go to the weight room by himself but couldn't.

Our 1st cruise was everything that I had intended it would be! We had such a great time sitting at the bar making new friends and making new memories! We love how artfully detailed the ship was! So beautiful and relaxing! I would definitely recommend anyone who has never taken a cruise do so nos

I wouldn't recommend this cruise line to no one. I was not impressed. More or less disappointed that this was my first cruise. I expected to have the time of my life, but all I did was sleep and eat. That's pretty much all they had available for you to do at all times.

Although main dining service and food quality was great, the menu options were not what was expected. Buffet was very disappointing with not much variety and choices were substandard. Buffet food temperature could've been better. Our cabin was great and all ship personnel were very attentive.
