The one tip I would give anyone is.....DO IT! The Dream is a beautiful and spacious ship and Cruise Director The Flying Scotsman is worth every penny!

All around I don't think we would do Western Caribbean in January. Maybe the weather is better on the Southern Caribbean cruises at that time. Because of wind we missed two ports of call...Roatan, and Costa Maya.

If at all possible eat every meal in the dining room and skip the long lines and excessive noise at feeding time on the lido deck.
Concerned
The Pizza bar is open 24 hours a day because you have to wait in line 23 hours to get a piece.

Go to breakfast in dining room not much of a wait
marvholland
Breakfast is better in the dinning room.

Nous avons préféré le café du Liddo plutôt qu'au restaurant Scarlet

If you enjoy shopping attend the seminars with Peter and Sara, the ship's shopping guides. They provide truly valuable information about shopping in the ports!

Skip the fancy restaurants. eat in your T-shirt and Jeans at the Gathering on the Lido deck.
EdVill
Far smaller ship than the Dream. After midnight the only option you have for food is pizza or room service.

If you are looking for fast food, lido deck was most convient, had a buffet as well as grill, pizza place and ice cream!
beentoseabilly
check out the interactive dining options before deciding where to eat

Try to book a cabin in the middle. This ship is very large and we were at the back, so we had long walks to get to certain places. Not bad, just had to plan in an extra few minutes to get to places and elevators were always busy.
Eastpointe
Take your time and get to know the ship, there is plenty to do for everyone.

Worth to bring soft drinks if you don't want to spend that money onboard. Also bring a good camera.
