Amazing Cruise by Cruiser974

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Carnival is an amazing cruise line. We have now been on 2 cruises in 6 months and are ready to go again. The Conquest & Dream are both wonderful ships, love our balcony rooms. Every single staff member is so nice and polite.  We are definitely going to be on more Carnival cruises.

Worst ship I've ever been on , th food was terrible, it's an old and smelly ship and stinks of sewage so buyers beware.  Go with Royal or Princess but stay far away from anything Carnival, worst shipped ever been on and I cruise a lot

Dissapointing by CharliesBoy1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Waited 1 1/2 hr. to be seated in Any Time Dining.  The food selection was not very good.  Had Meat Lasagna and chewed on a bone fragment.  The day time entertainment was not so good.  Would not go on another Carnival cruise again.

7th cruise with carnival, what can i say? by gregoryw345297

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The Conquest is a great ship(3 times on it) Buffet was the worst, fish king, guy burger and pizza was all great. Suite Stewards were also great the room was always clean and stock with ice. They did a great job, but its time to change ships and cruise lines for awhile, but we'll be back.

Had a good time, but not my favorite. by Devon6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Had a great time with friends but it seemed there was a little lacking in most of the staff. The air was not working well in our cabin and we were roasting every night. Despite being snaked, our drain almost overflowed every time we took a shower. Would love to go back to Aruba sometime, but don't really see a reason to go back to the other ports.

Very Enjoyable by thrasher3431

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

One of the best things about the cruise was cruise director Josh Waitzman. He not only was everywhere with everyone, he conducted four outstanding historical lectures. Nice entertainment in the Lobby Bar with #SixAppeal and Hornets. Servers were very good and food was good. The ship is old but intimate and clean. A  negative was the smell of smoke on the 5th deck where the casino is located. Several other entertainment area are affected; a lecture was held during the day in a "non-smoking" bar (Blues Lounge)  and it was gross. Overall a great vacation with Carnival Cruise Lines.

Aruba and curacoa awesome!! Cruise director Josh..great!! by amieo1972

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Make sure you see Sumphat at lobby bar...she makes killer drinks!!!  I recommend Monkeyland in the Dominican Republic. .they were so cute.. for adults and kids!! I got off the ship and just picked up a tour in curacoa... only $20 and it was so worth it!! Beaches in aruba were beyond beautiful. . Calm waters no waves ... just gorgeous didn'twant to leave!!  Only downside to trip the boat had a lot of downtime... if your not gambling or laying out pool side... Not enough to do!  Ioved the trivia... but only had a couplea day!!

Great Cruise! by rbrent

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Had a great time on Conquest! Great shows! Great service! Great drinks! Be sure to visit the Alchemy Bar and ask Tijana to make you a drink! Be a regular there and get to know everyone! The historical lectures by Josh (the cruise director) were great! Really enjoyed the shows! The singers/dancers were awesome!!! Loved SixAppeal and the Hornets! Did some serious shopping! Peter, the ships shopping expert, was extremely helpful in helping us to find just the right jewelry for the best price! Thanks again Peter!!! The cruise was a much needed escape from reality!

6 Night Carnival Conquest - Eastern Caribbean Cruise by tallen10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We absolutely loved this cruise! We loved the ship. It was the perfect size, clean, and easy to find everything. Most of the dining food was great - specifically the lobster tails, filet mignon, beef tenderloin, and pasta dishes. My husband had the melting chocolate dessert every single night which was fantastic. The casino was a blast to play in or even just watch. All of the shows were very entertaining to watch. We greatly enjoyed the laughs at all of the comedy shows. The 24 hours a day pizza came in handy on several of our late nights on the cruise. It was delicious. One of our favorite foods on the ship was Guy Fieri's Burgers. We may have had one each day. These were something that you have to try if you love burgers. You won't be disappointed! The Mexican bar was excellent as well. The chicken and fish tacos tasted great. Plus you can add all the fixings that you would like or just keep it simple - same with Guy's burgers. We also tried out the gym on one of the days at sea. There is plenty of equipment to use. It was rather crowded but it wasn't a

problem. It's hard to beat hopping on cardio equipment and looking into the never-ending ocean straight ahead. The two days at sea were very entertaining. We didn't get bored. There were contests, bingo, etc. All three ports did not disappoint. Grand Turk was probably our favorite, but Half

Moon Cay could easily be our favorite as well. We felt safe the entire time on the cruise and the service was top notch. Our waiter, Astawa, was the best waiter we have had on a cruise thus far. He and the other two waiters went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with every single dish

at every single meal. We love to try new places and different cruises, but this is one cruise that we would definitely sail again. I did read some negative reviews about this specific cruise before we booked. I'm not sure why they posted the negative comments. Just keep in mind that the food isn't

supposed to be what you get at a superb restaurant and that you are on a Carnival cruise. But all of our food was still great. A wonderful experience that we cannot wait to have again!!

Very Enjoyable Cruise! by katchrist121

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The 6-night Eastern Caribbean cruise was wonderful!  The service was excellent, housekeeping was friendly & thorough!  The ship was very clean, except there appeared to be some sort of water leak (which smelled like sewer) on the Riviera deck, and I'm guessing it was from one of the state rooms.  The food was very good, but I preferred the food on the Carnival Dream better.  The alcoholic beverages were disappointing because they didn't seem to be mixed right.  I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita in the Toulousse Lounge & it tasted like a Daquiri.  My fiance' ordered a Singapore Sling in the Degas Lounge & it was in a tiny glass & didn't taste at all right.  As far as ports go, Grand Turk was primarily a tourist trap designed to get you to buy stuff.  The excursions that were offered weren't that exciting in my opinion.  Amber Cove, Dominican Republic was awesome!  We did the All Day Ocean World Pass & it was a lot of fun!  That's a beautiful country!  Half Moon Cay, Bahamas was extremely disappointing!  A few of the shops weren't even open.  My fiance' and I took a walk around the place by ourselves & took pictures of the flora & fauna. Then, we noticed that other people had actually paid money for a "nature walk" that we did on our own, so I think they were a little bit ripped off in my opinion.  I'm giving this excursion an overall rating of 4 stars anyway, because I think the staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of & the weather was perfect all week!

6 night Carnival Conquesr cruise to Eastern Caribbean by rsnowdon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This cruise was wonderful.  It was in celebration of my sister-in- law's retirement.  The food was great, the entertainment was wonderful and our balcony room was very spacious.  The cruise director, Josh, made each person feel like family.

Average among the cruises we've taken by MisquamicutBeac

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Fantastic weather, excellent cabin and steward, wonderful food.

Helicopter tour on Grand Turk was very nice.

Entertainment didn't compare to past cruises.

Wouldn't recommend Amber Cove.

Half Moon Cay was absolutely gorgeous!!!

Other cruisers very noisy in middle of night.  Lots of unattended children/teens running around.  My husband had to go out at 1:30am and take care of it.  Two couples with whom we traveled also had to call security several times and go into the halls to take care of noise problems themselves.

Eastern Caribbean on Conquest by tschrisman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

There were some things we were a little disappointed with, but we enjoyed our trip. The buffets were lacking and it was very difficult to get a soft drink. We could only get them at a bar and the bars were always crowded with people actually "drinking" and those folks took priority.  Other cruise lines we've been on have self serve soft drink stations.

Really nice time. by jejordan59

We had a great time! There was lots to do on and off the ship. Food was great. The only thing I will not do again is the spa thing, my wife and I did a couple things at the spa and felt it was a waste of our money. They spend more time trying to sell u something.

Rooms are smaller than past ships I've been on.  Lido deck food not the best.  The staff was excellent.Sad  but the Conquest itself was not a fun-ship.
