Oh what fun we had! by RobertLong

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

Ship a little outdated, but the service was fantastic!  The onboard entertainment was super!  We loved the Ports of Call.  Thanksgiving on a cruise ship is a must.

Good R&R by rsoleyn444

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall the cruise itself was good, have to do some research on what you want to do at the ports. The boat had great shows and good food.  Wish there was more variety in the breakfast buffets, all the sit down restaurants food were the right portions size and had good service. Been on numerous cruises and this met my expectations for Carnival.

recent cruise review by ewalter111

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I have always cruised with Carnival and have seen many changes through the years. Some good some not so good. This last cruise I did hear several people some first time Carnival cruisers say they were not happy with food and entertainment. They didn't feel as though there was much going on during days at sea. The cruise director didn't mingle with the crowd like some previous cruises.

example (Donkey) from SUNSHINE CRUISE SHIP. He always had something going on. The lido deck usually had live music playing daily and games going on. This last cruise was sort of quite. I always enjoy my cruises with Carnival and find the value unbeatable. The waiters and room stewards are always pleasant and willing to assist. I am now planning my next cruise on my favorite cruise line

Carnival. (have no desire to try any other)

Amazing time but stolen camera by BethanySlinde

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Grand Turks was the most amazing time along with St Kitts!! Weather was great and the ports along with the islands were so clean and people were so friendly😁 The waters were beautiful but it all was lol Only sad part was as we headed back to home, our towels were on our chairs and our bag was u under one chair (like all the others on the ship) and after returning from the pool to lay back out, our bag was missing :( we didn't have much help about it and lost all of our pictures from underwater from Grand Turks 😔 That was our only sad part but the rest was amazing!!!

Nice Ports by e6west

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The three of the four ports were AWESOME!  St. Marteen is gorgeous.  The weather was great. The comedienne, Just June, was great.  The ship is in need to be revamped. My shower backed up twice; on the second and fifth day.  The toilet filled up to the rim and it wet my bottom.  I had to flush the toilet first before I sat down to avoid getting wet.  This was my second time on the ship and tried to keep hope alive that it would be better but improvements still need to be made.

EXCELLENT by bgriffin503

We had the best boarding experience ever.  We would be happy to see the prices of the photos lower.  They are so expensive.  We would also be very happy to see the casino no smoking at all times.  It is awful having to walk through the smoky casino when you are trying to get through to the other end of the ship.  There is always great entertainment in that area that we don't want to watch because of the horrible smell of the smoke

nightmare at dining by mtmsavh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We enjoyed all of the ports but were a little disappointed to only a few hours at San Juan. Old town was beautiful and wish we had more time. The evening dining was a nightmare. We had anytime dining but no matter what time or section we were seated it took at least 1.5 hours but mostly 2 hours. Our food was just warm as it remained on the serving area more than 15 minutes. The servers were not focused. So most nights we missed the show. The cabin was very nice and had a great steward.

Great time with cruising with friends by 19tlrichards

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I cruised with 3 other women to celebrate our 50th birthday milestone, along with 9 of our invited guest.  We had a blast with each other doing various activities throughout the ship.  My favorite part of the cruise was our rear facing 8th floor extended balcony next to my best friend and her husband.  After running about the ship and various islands all day, that was the perfect place to end the day with a glass of wine.  Outside of that, I was not very impressed with the ship overall.  The entertainment was boring, the games felt short and cut off, and the food was just okay.   The best part of cruising was getting off the ship at the various ports to explore the local culture.   We had three days total at sea due to weather issues that wouldn't allow us to get to land.  After the first day, there wasn't too much for us to do besides lay out, shop, and go play bingo.  One day we visited the spa, played cards (that we bought), and even had our own yoga class to pass the time away but had it not been for the company, the time would have dragged on.   Overall I had a good time due to that, but I will not be returning to cruise with Carnival as this is my second trip with them and I am not impressed having cruised with Disney and Royal Caribbean and experienced better.

husbands first cruise by vme1953

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Since this was my husbands first cruise was a bit disappointed in not being able to visit three islands as planned.   Half Moon Cay & Amber Cove was cancelled due to winds /weather, which I understand but we want to Nassau instead and it was okay but WAY TO COMMERCIAL.  Glad we went on tour that made it worth while.  Cabin was very nice and so was our steward "B"  The lounge area where live entertainment was made it for us, on deck 5. Breakfast at the Monet was very good, just was hard to get that 2nd cup of coffee.Nervous  Next time (if there is) plan on getting a balcony...to enjoy the mornings and evenings.

incident on board the ship by tsamartzis914

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

the cruise would have been very nice if we did not have an unfortunate incident   on the ship ,one of our group members slip and fail and got hurt  the floor was wet and there was no sign of caution any place very negligent of the ship's crew. All the group (8) of us got very upset and worry . the rest of the cruise was not fun  at all and we are still very sorry for the selection of that cruise line we did not get the satisfaction of this cruise not to mention the money we spent for.We are very unhappy all of us.

I enjoyed the comedians and singers and dancers the most The food was also good The room was very nice I think the daily fun paper should of been more informative The cruise directors voice was not pleasant at all and was a bit of a turn off The ship was beautiful. The jewelry sales people were great. Especially Shannon for me personally All and all I liked it Could of done without the smokers in the casino cause the smell of smoke was heavy there

Cruise Review by mjmcc123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was my 5th cruise and I can say probably the worst.  This ship is old, the food was only ok, none of it wowed me and the service in the main dining room was not good.  The service was extremely slow, there was very little interacting with the waiters, they were not personable.  I noticed that they would bring the food out in groups and not just for you.  So even though you were done with a course, you had to wait till everyone in your area was done before they would bring out the next course for the group.  In the past, I have had waiters waiting for you to finish and when you were done they immediately come and take your plate away and bring the next course right away.  This did not happen.  On this ship they had a steak restaurant you could attend in which you are charged an extra $35 dollars for.  Thinking this would be exceptional, I couldn't have been more disappointed.  Here the service was just plain awful!!!  The waitress was preoccupied while taking your order, looking at the cooks instead of the customer.  When asked for more bread, she took your bread plate away and never brought more bread.  They only brought 1 piece of bread for each customer and you didn't get to chose what you wanted, they made the selection for you.  Service was even slower here.  Very disappointed. Later in the week discovered you could order steak and/or lobster tail in the main dining room for an extra $20 but if you go to the Steak restaurant they charge you $35 for the same thing.  Did not make any sense to me and upset to get charged more for going to the restaurant.  Do not recommend the restaurant.  Food portions are small.  Disappointed with the buffet and how it shuts down early.  The only food you can order at midnight is pizza, they no longer have a midnight buffet.  The buffet appeared to have left overs from the main dining room the night before.  The desert table was disappointing as well.  Entertainment was poor.  The comedians were mostly pretty good.  The singers were off key at times.  The music choices were good.  Piano bar and Bill were great!  Drinks are way too expensive.  Ridiculous actually what they charge.  Too many scooters on the boat.  Hard to walk around sometimes.  The best thing was being able to relax but that was about it!  Will never take this boat again and probably won't do carnival again.  It definitely was not a wow cruise at all!

Needs improvement by nyforreal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Except for a few staff members especially our cabin steward who was awesome I found the service to be lacking. Trying to get a drink in the casino from a waitress was a challange.....food was mediocre. Dining staff was very good..friendly and entertaining . Our room showed evidence of the age of the ship although I was informed it had been updated not long ago. The curtain next to bed had a large stain on it which was not new. It seemed to be extremely disorganized in many aspects. Lido dining staff spoke very little..if any..English and rarely understood what you were asking.

Disembarkation for assisted person actually seemed a blessing until you actually got off ship and we're dropped in a penned in area where you waited for over 2 hours for one of 7 available wheel chairs to take you too customs. And other people in our party were not allowed to be with us therfore had to go

through customs and after our 2 hrs wait we had to sit outside and wait for them.

On a whole it was probably one of the worst experiences we've had. I will not leave from fort Lauderdale again if I can help it and have my doubts about carnival also.

I'm truly disappointed with the whole experience....

The ports were all good.  The ship staff was wonderful. The staff in the any time dinner room was wonderful.  The adult pool was good, since only a few kids were on board.  Really had a good cruise.

Nice Ports by martin8326

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We've been on better, we've been on worse. The overall week was enjoyable.  Some of the things that brought us down had nothing to do with the ship, aka bad weather, airline problems, etc.  The ship is older and worn, but they are doing a good job at keeping things updated.  The service is FANTASTIC!!  The shows (in my opinion) were not as good as usual.  The singing and dancing was great, but I don't like all the computerized backgrounds replacing the real sets.  I also miss the live band.  The comics were good and the dining room food and service were great, too.  Probably my biggest complaint would have to be the buffet food on Lido.  Thank goodness the have Guys Burgers and the BBQ station.

Fun but rocky due to some bad weather by scott674

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had fun on our first cruise. The food was decent and the entertainment was good. Our boat and other cruises in the region experienced rocking boat to bad weather. Our port stop in Grand Turk was cancelled due to the bad weather. We had a great time with our friends on board. Hope to do one again but will make sure it is in a better weather time. Half Moon Cay and Amber Cove, Dominican Republic were fun stops.

5 Year Anniversary Trip by mendoza0069

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our first cruise and even though we had rough waters the last few days and had to skip the last port, other accommodations were arranged and made for a great end to our trip. The Jr. Suite was excellent, highly recommend. We plan on booking another trip soon.

very good by Cruiser9110091

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our favorite part of the cruise was the comedy club. Carnival staff could not do enough for us. their cleanliness was impeccable and the food service incredible. The staff was always very friendly and once they knew your name, they remembered it and always called us by name.  our dissatisfaction was that they would not dock us because of high winds at our last port but sailed us home in very high winds making hte night very uncomfortable for all on board and even in high winds in Ft. Lauderdale, they docked the ship. they should reimburse everyone for a portion of the cruise, not being able to dock at the port, the Turks.  A policy they should change is that until the safety meeting is held, that no alcohol be served anywhere on the ship. There were several people intoxicated trying to walk and line up for hte meeting and if we were ever to have had an emergant situation, those people would ahve put everyone's lives in jeopardy, not knowing what to do because they were so drunk during the instructions.

Excellent time by akiernan26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was mine and my husband first cruise. If you lived on a boat growing up we had no motion sickness at all. The food was on point. my only complaint would be turks needs to be a short day and Puerto Rico needs to be longer. Besides that excellent we are working on planning our next cruise ♡
