Review summary

Our favorite part of the cruise was the comedy club. Carnival staff could not do enough for us. their cleanliness was impeccable and the food service incredible. The staff was always very friendly and once they knew your name, they remembered it and always called us by name.  our dissatisfaction was that they would not dock us because of high winds at our last port but sailed us home in very high winds making hte night very uncomfortable for all on board and even in high winds in Ft. Lauderdale, they docked the ship. they should reimburse everyone for a portion of the cruise, not being able to dock at the port, the Turks.  A policy they should change is that until the safety meeting is held, that no alcohol be served anywhere on the ship. There were several people intoxicated trying to walk and line up for hte meeting and if we were ever to have had an emergant situation, those people would ahve put everyone's lives in jeopardy, not knowing what to do because they were so drunk during the instructions.

A refund of your port charges is all the cruiseline has to reimburse you for. They have no control over weather so when you cruise the Carribean in the fall winds and rain are more likely and there is more risk of missing a port stop. I don't know you expected the captain to do to calm the seas on your trip back to Ft Lauderdale port.

When we went in October we weren't able to go to Half Moon Cay bc of hurricane Matthew so they refunded $6 back on our sail and sign account. So check your account. Now that isn't enough but at least they try!

That's what you get when you sail in October and November. The seas are very unpredictable and it's not the fault of the cruise line. You must be a first tine cruiser not to know that.

The OP signed that he read the contract. No compensation for missing a port for safety reasons.

Grand turk is an open port,. Fort Lauderdale is a enclosed port. The water is not as rough as a open port.

Read your contract. You are paying for food and room. NOT ports. You will have to have the entire industry change that.

We did the eight-day trip on The Conquest it was one of the best cruises that me and my family have ever taken and we will probably do it again on spring break.
