Review summary

I cruised with 3 other women to celebrate our 50th birthday milestone, along with 9 of our invited guest.  We had a blast with each other doing various activities throughout the ship.  My favorite part of the cruise was our rear facing 8th floor extended balcony next to my best friend and her husband.  After running about the ship and various islands all day, that was the perfect place to end the day with a glass of wine.  Outside of that, I was not very impressed with the ship overall.  The entertainment was boring, the games felt short and cut off, and the food was just okay.   The best part of cruising was getting off the ship at the various ports to explore the local culture.   We had three days total at sea due to weather issues that wouldn't allow us to get to land.  After the first day, there wasn't too much for us to do besides lay out, shop, and go play bingo.  One day we visited the spa, played cards (that we bought), and even had our own yoga class to pass the time away but had it not been for the company, the time would have dragged on.   Overall I had a good time due to that, but I will not be returning to cruise with Carnival as this is my second trip with them and I am not impressed having cruised with Disney and Royal Caribbean and experienced better.

Talent was subpar and the shows were boring. We did enjoy Jeff, the comedian, but that was about all.

Ship Quality

A bit of a dated ship, but the room and room bathrooms were very clean and comfortable.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was so peaceful sitting out there. The perfect place for quiet time and meditation. I even took a few naps out there and the views both day and night were spectacular!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Due to swells, did not get to disembark

Had to detour to Nassau due to storms in DR

Grand Turk Island

Not what I'd expect. Though the landscape was beautiful, the excursion outside of the port around the island, showed nothing worth seeing. The town looked worn and poor. The village near the port was lovely with the pool and beach and bars. Stay here instead of venturing on a city tour.

Thanks for the review! I've been on Ncl and it's definitely better then carnival. I've had friends on RC and they had great reviews regarding the food and shows.

Agree there are plenty more cruise lines and a lot more destinations so just do enjoy who ever you chose to cruise with it's your vacation .... enjoy 🍹😎

My BFF is going on Conquest next summer (family reunion) after 3 RC cruises and she too is concerned she'll be disappointed in the quality of things.

Agree you should stay with the other lines if you feel more comfortable with them. Nice aft balcony though! My cabins so far have all been aft balconies. Love them!
