Review summary
I cruised with 3 other women to celebrate our 50th birthday milestone, along with 9 of our invited guest. We had a blast with each other doing various activities throughout the ship. My favorite part of the cruise was our rear facing 8th floor extended balcony next to my best friend and her husband. After running about the ship and various islands all day, that was the perfect place to end the day with a glass of wine. Outside of that, I was not very impressed with the ship overall. The entertainment was boring, the games felt short and cut off, and the food was just okay. The best part of cruising was getting off the ship at the various ports to explore the local culture. We had three days total at sea due to weather issues that wouldn't allow us to get to land. After the first day, there wasn't too much for us to do besides lay out, shop, and go play bingo. One day we visited the spa, played cards (that we bought), and even had our own yoga class to pass the time away but had it not been for the company, the time would have dragged on. Overall I had a good time due to that, but I will not be returning to cruise with Carnival as this is my second trip with them and I am not impressed having cruised with Disney and Royal Caribbean and experienced better.
