I've become quite familiar with... by goliathfreak

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

I've become quite familiar with the layout of the Conquest class of ships. It's easy to navigate and there are plenty of activities happening during the chose to keep from getting stale. The itinerary to us to the far South Caribbean and it was great! The weather cooperated most of the time and while the seas got a little choppy on the final days, the ship kept moving through the water as if nothing was happening. Leigh was a good cruise director. He seemed to have gotten his bearings pretty quick on the ship knowing he had just gotten on with us. There were two new shows I hadn't seen before and they simply "wowed" us. Totally unexpected, but definitely welcome! I would sail on another Conquest class ship without any hesitation. Love the themed elements and how they differ so much from ship to ship.

We were on the October... by Brian1958

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

We were on the October 7th 2018 sailing of the Carnival Conquest. We had a great time. Every crew member that we interacted with were awesome. The ship is starting to show its age but is kept extremely clean and very well maintained. Everything in our room worked as expected, the refrigerator, the TV the air conditioning Etc. Our room steward Nataria was excellent and kept our room spotless. Both the food and service in the main dining room was excellent every night. The other earing venues were also excellent. Our cruise director was Mat and he's great! We attended most of the shows they were pretty good, I found the shows on Royal Caribbean and MSC to be of higher quality but the performers and LED effects were all great and we enjoyed all of the shows. The band Smooth Operators and the violin trio Liberty Sweets that performed in the atrium throughout the cruise were superb! Overall I would highly recommend sailing on the Carnival Conquest.

Some information from our cruise... by jddunfee

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Some information from our cruise Oct 7-13. Some of this is my opinion and some is just information. Embarked at fort Lauderdale and it was simple smooth. Was on the ship by 11:30 with drink in hand. They had key cards in the door mailbox but couldn't access rooms until 1:30. We were ok with that. The ship was very clean and staff was always friendly. Everyone on the ship was fun to hang with and get to know them. Elegant dinners were on day 2 and day 5. Dining took a while because it was very busy in there but we knew it would so we planned for it. Took about an hour and a half or a little less. Very good selection on the menu but I really liked the filet mignon ๐Ÿ‘. Ship stayed on schedule at each port and since we had nothing booked, we just waited a little while for crowds to clear then get off of the ship except for half Moon cay. We went early but the lines go fast. When we went to breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet, sometimes the lines got pretty long but go early to avoid it possible. Piano bar with Eden was the highlight on the ship. He was a great entertainer and the room was packed every night. We had a blast with him. Just FYI, he really likes his shots๐Ÿธ. The comedy club was just so so for us. We went to both comedians at the late night and we were not impressed but not complaining either. Mat the cruise director is full of energy and is involved with the crowds all the time. He does a great job and hope to see him again on future cruises. Movies in the evening were of good selection. Anywhere from chick flicks ๐Ÿ™„ to action to comedy. We watched "Book Club", "Jurassic world", "Rampage", "Incredibles 2", and "It". There were more but that's what we watched. The one fun day at Sea was great. Lots of entertainment on the lido deck for the whole day. We really like the "groove for St Jude"Carnival does. The ship did over $2700 in just an hour. The special surprise was the balloon drop on the last night. Mat made that pretty fun and the pictures we took of it are awesome. Make sure you go to that. Disembarking was simple. We carried our luggage off from deck 9, got an elevator easily at 7:20am and was off of the ship in minutes. Obviously you need your sail card to get off the ship but some were digging through suit cases looking for their cards ๐Ÿ™„. We grabbed an Uber and was at the airport in no time. Overall a great trip and will go on the conquest again if schedules align. Hope this helps and remember, this was our opinions and we always choose fun ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿšข๐ŸŒด. Happy sailing to all.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 8-day cruise!... by retirednana23b

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Conquest

Thoroughly enjoyed our 8-day cruise! The ship is older but is clean and has been updated since we were on it in December 2016. The food was exactly as we expected and I must say that this is the only ship where we actually like the Guy's burgers. We loved the new (to us) menu at the deli. There were plenty of activities to keep you busy no matter what you enjoy doing and Matt the cruise director was highly visible around the ship as he chatted with guests, took pictures with guests, and made sure that things ran smoothly while everyone was enjoying their vacation. I will say that our stateroom on the lido deck got too hot one night and our mattress was too hard. But our wonderful room steward, Jose, came to the rescue with a fan to make the room cooler plus he put a mattress topper on our bed that made sleeping much more comfortable. I do advise everyone to purchase a room thermometer and to keep it on the wall in your stateroom. Ours not only shows the current temperature but also shows the high temperature and the low temperature for the last 24 hour period. When Carnival maintenance came to check the a/c in our room, they could not argue with that and proceeded to solve our problem!

Great value for trip by wally72958

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a great cruise. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food was well prepared and presented. The steakhouse was a real treat and the staff does an excellent job. The new photo arrangement is nice. We loved having the app and seeing the pictures viewable from anywhere and not having to do the seek and find from the old days. Some complained that Carnival could reduce prices since they donโ€™t have to print out all the pictures just to throw away a large number. True statement, but doesnโ€™t recognize the fact that they do the service to make money. Itโ€™s capitalism people! You can buy or not. If enough people refuse to buy they will have to lower prices. As long as sufficient amounts of people purchase them, the price is fair. All in all very enjoyable cruise and well worth the price!
