MANU IS THE BEST!!!!!
I had never been on a cruise before, and this was a great introduction to this travel style. I will book again.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The dining room was nice, however a little dated. We ate in the Renoir dining room each night and the Guy's Burger Bar for lunch, and the cantina for breakfast. The Cantina was wonderful! Guy's Burger Bar had the best burgers I have ever had. The dining room food was ok. There was always something to choose, however the quality of the food was not the highest. Certain cuts of meat were not what was listed on the menu, specifically the beef options. The portion size for the vegetables/sides was way too small. The dining room service was lacking and we ended up ordering our drinks at an outside bar and bringing them in because service was slow or non-existent in the dining room.
Lido Marketplace

I never really wanted to eat anything on the buffet. The breakfast was ok, but it seemed like the bacon was always protected. There were not a lot of vegetable options at lunch or dinner. More healthy options would be better for a changing demographic.
BlueIguana Cantina

Great breakfast and lunch options. Fast service. This would be great as a late night option for food.
Guy's Burger Joint

Great burgers, fast service, very reliable!
Alfred's Bar

It was very hard to find and seemed like an underutilized area.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I loved the pools and the spa area. The sauna and steam room with the windows were amazing. The fitness center was very nice. The slide was sad. Maybe it was better for kids. The activities like the pamper party etc. just seemed to be giant commercials for spa treatments and other items for purchase. It would have been nice to have some events that were not focused on selling. We loved the trivia options during the cruise.
The Sky Pool

Wonderful pool far away from the full hustle and bustle!
Serenity

Wonderful location away from the loud areas. It was interesting that the Serenity was placed directly next to the kids section.
Entertainment

We attended the EPIC ROCK and FLICK shows which were wonderful! So much fun. We attended some of the CLUE events. Those were not as good and we ended up skipping the rest. The comedy club was always fun and there was a good mix of comedians during the trip. Marty was a little dry and always had a robotic energy about him. Shea said at some point that she was the comedy host during another cruise. She has better energy and might be a better person to put in the Punchliner.
The HIGHLIGHT of our ENTIRE trip was Manu, the table artist, in the dining room. We looked forward to seeing him every night. He was funny, warm, interesting, approachable and amazing. We wish we were able to spend more time with him. There are not enough words to say about how much he added to our experience. Manu is the best!!!!!!!!!!
Artists' Lobby

Always fun activities happening, but it was very small.
Degas Aft Lounge
4 out of 5
Large space but the bar service was stretched thin for the amount of people in the room. Also, it would be nice to be able to have food in there.
Toulouse-Lautrec Main Lounge

Great if you were downstairs but it was hard to get around upstairs.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our waiters were confused, hurried and never got an entire meal correct. They fumbled over our names every night. It was sad. Namie was our head waiter and seemed lost and then spent a lot of time on the last day. Tito was our second waiter and seemed to have more control of the table and what was required. We saw negative interactions between Namie and Tito from time to time.
Our Room Steward, Komang, was wonderful and always so kind. He immediately knew our names and was so fast and efficient.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship layout was fine. The only frustrating part was having to either walk through the smoke filled casino or go up or down a level to avoid it to get to the back of the ship. Maybe it would be good to move the casino to the back, so people wanting to avoid smoke didnt have to be near it.
Cabin / Stateroom

Wonderful room, good size, always clean.
Ship tip
You should bring a night light for the bathroom. While the cabin sensor lights are great, the bathroom is still dark at night.
This was a depressing and poor island. We went to what was billed as the "historic downtown area" and immediately felt cheated. It was just a series of "stores" selling crap. I should have stayed on the ship.
It was a lovely island and we were able to go horse-back riding with Gold Mine Ranch in the morning. It would have been nice to stay longer on the island.
The Carnival staff did all they could to make this a streamlined process but there were people that just did what they wanted and got off the ship out of order. It would have been nice to have more written information about how the disembarkation would go. We had a lot of time just waiting without information.
The casino is always placed where it is on most all ships because they want you to walk thru the casino and stop and play. As far as the vegetables and sides being too little you can ask for more--- of everything!
