Review summary

Never choose a ship that does 3/4 day cruises for a 14 day Journey. This ship was so unprepared. Meals took 2-2 1/2 hours somedays and the maitre d walked around apologizing because the chefs were not familiar with the expanded menu. They typically only have 4 different menus. The Playlist cast only performed one show. That's all they usually do. Boring selection of entertainment because the ship is not used to sailing more than a 4 day itinerary. 14+ day cruise only works on a ship that at least does 7 day itineraries.

Ship tip

This ship is fine for a short cruise. Would not recommend a long cruise. Just not prepared.

We were on the same cruise and I agree they were unprepared for a longer sailing. Dinner took a very long time each evening. The lack of Playlist shows was disappointing. They ran out of diet soft diet drinks early in Week 2. That being said, it was still a great time.

The Conquest was one of our last cruises before COVID and we loved it. Ship is older but it was spotless and clean and I loved the lighting they had all along the upper walls of the cabin and on the bottom walls of the hallways. We had family with us in the next cabin and and room steward was able to adjoin our balconies. It was great. Food and staff in MDR were excellent. Our Grandson had the Flat Iron steak every night as he is a picky eater, and every night it was delicious and medium rare as requested. We all loved everything we had. The only complaint were the shows. None that we liked but that’s not why we cruise. The ports were all fantastic. And the last night of the cruise they had a balloon drop which was amazing and lots of fun. Oh, and make sure to see Deck 5 which is the Sunflower Atrium. Absolutely beautiful. Would definitely go on the Conquest again.

Loved that cruise. But I agree about the ship. I really missed the Playlist shows. Dinner was very slow, thankfully we had great table mates.
