We had a really great time , we were in cabin 10266, I don’t remember our steward because he didn’t have cards. We was wonderful and very great with our needs and very friendly. We also had great wait staff In restaurant Gennies , Rawa, Richard. They we very fast friendly and great at their job. I want to make sure they get the credit they deserve. Thanks Shara Savasta

Beautiful ship just a little to big for us. Was given 175.00 OBC which I never received. So I will be Checking on that. That has never happened before.

Paradise on the Sea by JSTOCKTON

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Celebration

The cruise was absolutely fabulous from the time we boarded thru debarkation. I will say, however, that Carnival's shuttle service is inarguably the WORST transport I have ever experienced. We will never again use this service. Getting to the ship from MIA, we had to wait 1.5 hours for the service, and when it arrived, it was a ragtag shuttle pulling a trailer for our bags. On debarking, we again waited nearly 2 hours, this time in the bleaking hot sun, no shade, no fans, and nowhere to sit down, because you would lose your spot in the queue if you moved. The shuttles were all being routed to FLL, while there were over 100 passengers waiting to go to MIA, among them a 91 year old lady (travelling alone) who was close to having a heat stroke. We found her a place to sit ON A LUGGAGE CART!!! It was absolutely disgusting. The Carnival rep (Salita?) was completely unconcerned and lied to our faces that there had been 6 shuttles for MIA. We were scheduled for late debarkation and there was NO shuttle after 10 o'clock until we finally got out around noon. She was also hostile and told us if we didn't like it we could call UBER. This carelessness in not scheduling the shuttles to run for the number of seats they sold is completely unacceptable, and it definitely ended our cruise on a miserable note.

Great cruise. Staff very friendly. Poor ship layout. by dscott44174067

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Celebration

We had a great time on the cruise. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The ship layout is very poor. The center stage area is impossible to get a good seat unless you are 1.5 hours early. The elevators are small and slow, also there are not enough elevators. The food is average for a cruise ship. MDR service was slow and they broke up groups of people who had booked together. The selection in the buffet bar is minimal and the food tastes bland. Pig and Anchor was the best food on the ship. The entertainment was fantastic, the best I have seen on any of my previous cruises. Overall had a good trip. I will be cruising again just on a different ship.

Virgin isles Gurlfriends trip by tym4hockey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Celebration

It is still what you make of it! We had a great time and met a lot of great people and made a lot of new friends. Some things about the boat could be a bit different but overall it was clean and safe. Enjoyed the big boat experience, even when rocky you don't feel sea sick. Plenty of good food, good drinks and good company!

New ship? Yeah right! by adblanchard

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Celebration

It was terrible! They had the usual pools, putt putt gold, basketball, ping pong, and bean bag toss. They did have the roller-coaster which was great, but you had to pay $15 to go around twice! It is not included in the price of the cruise. To put the cheery on the cake. They woke us up at 4am on disembarkation morning hammering on the balcony banister! They were fixing stuff all throughout the so-called "new" ship!

Big Ship - Tiny cabin by bhicks830

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Additional information - Precruise service was good on carnival. Precruise, a representative would be on the phone in less than a minute. Post-cruise, we tried to reach out about the broken bottle and some other issues and nobody will answer the phone. I do not mean they leave you on hold longer, I mean THEY WILL NOT SPEAK TO YOU. they require you email and wait. after several days, I called and talked to a pre-cruise CSR to try and get an escalation and was told I have to wait 30-40 DAYS for a response. Basically, "we got your money so go f*!# yourself". when they did finally respond, they said to take it up with the liquor store - which I did not buy the rum from. I'm still waiting for further response to see if they will do anything at all to compensate for breaking my ONLY souvenir from the Dominican (I wanted the bottle more than the rum, but it is shattered (the packaging and tape was holding together where it didn't leak out all at once, but when I unwrapped it to find the leak, the bottom fell apart where it won't even stand up).

Horrible Cruise! by mslucas1975

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Celebration

We just debarked this morning from a 7 day cruise on the Celebration. I purchased 3 cabins, 2 in family harbor and 1 with a balcony. There were a total of 6 adults and 6 children. We also convince another family of 3 to join us, which booked a cabin in family harbor. A total of 15 people. I've cruised numerous times with other lines but wanted to start mixing it up and was excited to try Carnival. We go twice a year as a family & I go with a friend once or twice a year. After spending over $10,000 on cabins alone, I also spend thousands on drink packages, etc. Then thousands while on the boat. Needless to say, we are all very disappointed. I had 1 of my little ones head spit on from a balcony while in 820, TWICE. I had my other little shoved into a wall by older teens. My 10 year old made fun of my adults. A GLASS thrown off a balcony that landed between my 3 kids, shattering. I had 1 of my 7 year Olds get stuck in a slide, NO employee notice, while 5 adults frantically looked for him ONLY to be told "What do you want us to do about it" when we asked for help. NOT once did the THREE employees at the bottom of the slides bothered to help!! WE KNEW he went up but had not came down. 15 minutes later, he managed to wiggle his way down, bawling, scared all while your employees did nothing but get hateful! Teen boys using their hands in the Market place, picking food up, popping it into their mouths, grabbing more, until they had their fill. Mind you, we were standing in line waiting while they did this. This is when their was any variety of food. There wasn't much kid friendly food included. It was usually picked through with very little left. I had very rude people see us standing, waiting on elevators, step right in front of us numerous times. In the very long waits for an elevator. Not once or twice but every time we had to wait for along time for an elevator. While strolling on the top deck around 1 or 2am due to insomnia, a couple were having sex on the chairs! Out in the open! I truly feel like the cruise was over sold

Carnival Celebration Caribbean Cruise by dwitzman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Good time with our family group of 12 people. Age 16 to age 74.. Ship is huge and requires lots of steps which is fine if you are able. It was a bit of a challenge for us 70 year olds.. Food was okay except room service breakfast which was inedible..All in all we had a goodbye time with our family and I think they loved the ship and the experience.

Destinations where great disappointed in the new ship by shar13mel7018

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Celebration

So not sure what Carnival was thinking when they thought of this ship but it truly need’s tweaking There needs to be more specific activities for kids 6 - 12 Food stations like the burger and rib restaurants need to stay open much later than 5 and 6 More activities to get passengers to meet like maybe a meet and greet event The ship is huge looks great but not enough lounging cozy and quiet places to just sit and relax read a book, etc. Overall I was expecting so much more than what was there.

Fun Ship, Mediocre Food by KRPM

Nice ship, never felt crowded even at full capacity. Food was not good at all. Barely ate. Entertainment (shows) was lacking. Not the best cruise we’ve been on and we’ve been on many!!

We had a great time, it was our honeymoon cruise. Would definitely recommend this ship to sail on, but if you have dietary restrictions such as myself it will make things a bit harder.
