Review summary

So not sure what Carnival was thinking when they thought of this ship but it truly need’s tweaking There needs to be more specific activities for kids 6 - 12 Food stations like the burger and rib restaurants need to stay open much later than 5 and 6 More activities to get passengers to meet like maybe a meet and greet event The ship is huge looks great but not enough lounging cozy and quiet places to just sit and relax read a book, etc. Overall I was expecting so much more than what was there.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
As per Carnival the food was not good at all. Buffets could be better choice of foods Specialty restaurants where good but extremely on the pricey side and sad you should have to spend such money to get a good meal

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
For as large as this new ship is I’d have expected a lot more than there was Lots of repeats and something’s should have been done in the beginning of cruise not the end If you want people to mingle plan in the start so there’s the whole cruise to make new friendships

Entertainment

I think on deck 3 or 4 you can use the side deck to relax and read. Watch the waves go by.

I think you choose the wrong ship Should try Princess or Celebrity

First, it’s not up to Carnival to entertain your kids. That’s your job. Second, there’s no reason why the lunch venues need to stay open late. That’s what the MDR is for: dinner. Lastly, if you want a nice place to relax on the ship invest in a nice room with a good balcony.

I usual go to the library room to enjoy any quiet time. Thanks for your input about your cruise.

I guess you didn't make it to Serenity. That's the area my wife goes to relax and read her book. I go and snooze while she reads.

It’s not the cruise lines job to make friends for you. And I wouldn’t say the specialty restaurants are pricey, they’re a pretty good value in reality. Especially on this ship where you have 3 specialty restaurants included in your fare.

There have been mixed reviews on the new ships. Many say there are too many small venues that feel cramped and overcrowded.
