This cruise was one of our top five vacations in our life. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Our snorkel trip in Antigua was great, I highly recomend this excursion. I am not in good shape and was able to do everything. The Catamaran crew was excellent and fun.

There was enough to do every day, including just laying in the sun and doing nothing.

My only caveat is, the shows were too short. Many of them were only 30-40 minutes. With what appears to be a focus on drawing people into the casino, the casino is too small.

This was my third Cruise ,I really did not like the design of the ship it was a little to close in for me  but it was always nice and clean. They shut down the food bars to early ,and  repurposed their food too much. The cruise director Matt was Great very friendly and outgoing. The shows were very good also, you will hurt yourself on Guys Burgers they are delicious !!! ( I ate 3 the first day )

Great Shows & Good Accommodations with Balcony by jandb5029

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Checking in was a nightmare, but thankfully ended before we gave up! Once on board, the Cruise Director, Mat was FANTASTIC!  Orlando was just as good - both provided a wonderful way to start and end our days. The excursions were good but need reviewed independently because there were some flaws ... especially the Grand Caymans - what a nightmare getting there and back.  Dining in the Blush provided a wide variety of food and the wait team was attentive for most of the cruise.  Our only request would be to have pre-determined sleeping decks for families with children.  It was disruptive and not very relaxing having kids run up and down the halls or have a screaming child not willing to sleep at night next door.  We have been on other cruise ships that didn't seem to have young families on every deck and generally running around all the time.  The cruise ship was clean and comfortable - had no problem finding lounge chairs. But locating food during the day without standing in long lines was difficult.  Loved our room service - she was a delight and our room / bathroom was always clean and bright ... even filling up our bucket with ice every day.  All in all we would recommend the cruise.

It was fantastic! by milakirk

We loved everything about the cruise. Drinks are pricey but we knew that going in.  It was clean, great food and good times. Cayman was gorgeous.  I got a little sea sick because my prescription patch wore off but It doesn't take much for me to get sick. The sea was very calm and the help on the cruise was phenomenal.

A must for young travelers by julpac07

After cruising on smaller ships and for my age (73) I found this trip very tireing and maybe becuse my cabin was located the second from the aft section. I also found the food not as good as my previous trips. The service is as always the best from all personel, and yes I recomend this cruise.

We missed one landing cause of Windy, But they don't have any altnate plan. by SADSEA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Food --so-so. not impressive at all. getting cheap. tiger shrimp is only half of it size should be called tiger shrimp. deserts need a lots of improvement.

Activities: so-so We got 2nd dinning @8:15pm. After dinner, not all the shows for kids be honestly. Dancer  with long, bared legs scared away a lots of parents including us. Overall the sea day activities are not very attractive though.

the cruise director Matt seemed the only person showed high spirit with cruisers. thumb up for him!

Don't know who is the captain at all. two elegant dinners are not special at all. not much climax.

Ok cruise. by seaport1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We are still in the 'trying' phase of cruise travel.  This is our 6th time, all with different companies.  So what I write here is compare with other company's ship. This ship is new and very nice.  Clean and well maintained. Kid's activity area is nice and big. Crew (especially the cabin crews) are very friendly.  Food is fare in quality and variety.  Dessert can use some improvement.   The main disappointment I have on this cruise is the entertainment.  Director Matt is great.  But shows need more work.  Last few times we were in holiday cruise and spring break cruise, we always get one or 2 guest performers.  This time (in a sell-out spring break ship) we did not get any.  The only activity that happens all the time is trivia and bingo.  There are very little music in the cruise (like dance classes, music performance).  In other cruise I find myself busy all day long doing music related things.  Even when I walk to dinner I will pass 2 or 3 different music performance/dance on my way.  But in this ship all 4 sea days (we missed a port day) I can walk up and down the ship all day long and will be lucky to see one music performance somewhere.  It will be lucky to have 1 dance or dance class during the day.  I do not feel very entertained.

It was ok. by SpringBreak15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise ports were great options, however very limited times at sites, perhaps omitting a site and staying longer than 6-8 hours.  Excursions were great.  Dinners in dining room were poor (I somewhat expected that with Carnival).  Spring Break so very busy, not enough chairs, long waits regardless of times at bars and food lines.  Had an ocean suite that was smaller than a balcony room on Princess cruise, very frustrating.  Great for teenagers who don't care about food or space.  Poor for adults wanting to enjoy any peace and a drink in a timely fashion.  I will not do Carnival again.

Love This was a new ship, very clean and well kept. Decor up to date. Huge , 2 promenades, upper and lower to walk around on those sea days! Dining room service was a little slow and some choices bland

VERY DISAPPOINTED by Burgosla

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I was on my 5th Carnival cruise this month and I told myself I would give them one last chance to prove that they had improved from my previous experience.  I got off the ship feeling very disappointed and have decided that unless I cannot afford a different cruise line, I will no longer cruise on Carnival again.

After having been on the Oasis and the Allure of the Seas (Royal), my expectations were very high.  I chose the Breeze because I thought they could possibly be comparable.  Boy was I wrong.  Considering the amount of people on the Allure/Oasis, I never experienced long lines getting food or embarkation/debarkation.  On the Breeze, I felt that I was ALWAYS in line.  Getting food was a 45 minute task.  By the time I sat down, I was starving and the food was cold.  The simple things like getting pizza or a drink, was almost unthinkable.  If my family got in a different line and I was in another line, we never got to eat together.  Finding a table to eat was a very difficult task.  The Marketplace was unorganized, very limited food set out, very messy and limited options.  What happened????  The burger and taco fixings were GROSS and rarely cleaned up.  Food everywhere.  The formal dining changed their menu drastically, I am a pretty simple person when it comes to food and I had a hard time finding something to my liking on the menu.  My only option was the chicken and the steak and they were TERRIBLE.  I enjoy the sit down formal dinner so I toughed it up and ate there most nights even though I barely ate my meal.  The service was very slow and the dinner process took almost two hours.  We missed most of the shows.

The entertainment was very limited, not much for adults.  The only thing I truly enjoyed was the adult comedy.  Even though I rarely found seating because of how much time it took for me to finish dinner I was always late and couldn't find seating.

Deck chairs - I never found one available.  Always very occupied by someone's towel.  Something needs to be done about the chair hoggers.  Carnival needs to control this problem.

Cabin - Very clean, I do miss having the sofa but I felt that it was large enough for two people.  Cabin Steward was very friendly and always addressed us by our name.  She kept the room very tidy and comfortable for us.

The ports of call were wonderful and if it had not been for that, I would not have enjoyed this cruise at all.

I have decided that I am going to save my money so that I can go back to Royal.  They truly know what they are doing when it comes to cruising.

Carnival Breeze March 14 - March 22nd by narylispena

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall our group had a very good time!!

I did find that the Liddo food selections were very limited, almost same food everyday.  I thought that the Spanish entertainment provided was not the best group & not much time of it at the main club.  Another thing was the adult section - I believe it needs better monitoring - people would just leave their personal items laying on chairs for ours not allowing others to enjoy.

Matt the cruise director was awesome, Cruz & Orlando were also great team members!!!  Our main waiter in the Blush dinning room was awesome and so was our room cleaning team!!!

Carnival Breeze cruising by cinturrisi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We absolutely loved this cruise. This was our second time on the Breeze and it's amazing because there's so many different food choices like Guys Burgers, sushi, Farenheit Steakhouse (steaks & onion soup to die for), Cucini (best pasta ever), Lido Buffet, Red Frog Pub, sea day brunch in the dining room, breakfast burritos @ Blue Iguana Cantina & dinner in the Sapphire dining room with our fave waiter Adrian & his teammate Kevin. Then there's the entertainment on the ship. Cruise Director Matt is the best...there's dancing & music all the time. Bands & DJs everywhere. We caught the shows, the comedians, bingo, shopping, trivia, sunshine, water slide, hot tubs, serenity deck...drinks by the pool. Our balcony room was perfect overlooking the ports when we pulled into St Thomas for the most amazing snorkeling. We used Castaway Girl/Turtle cove through Carnival (highly recommend) then did some shopping in town. Puerto Rico was great. Took a free open air trolley through Old San Juan and saw beautiful sights, stopped at the beach along the way and ate some local foods. Did an off the ship excursion in Antigua to see the island then the beach. Gorgeous beach there. Definitely didn't want to come home!

Overall an ok experience by SBKY

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I will start with the good points before starting my rant. My steward was absolutely amazing, he didn't hesitate or give any excuses for helping us with anything, he was a great friend on the ship. My room was absolutely beautiful and the ship itself is so clean and comfortable. This was my firs time having a balcony room and it was definitely more than expected on this ship. The burgers were great and the water works park was an absolute blast!!! Finding seats on the deck was troublesome but that is the case with any cruise! but compared to pass ships I've been on this ship actually had a lot more seating available. The room service food was delicious if you could ever get your correct order and at a suitable time. Also the bartenders were mediocre they put very little effort into making their drinks presentable and enjoyable, There was only one bar and one night that I met a bartender where you could see her true passion for it and I got the best! Mango daiquiri EVER!

I chose this cruise because many people told me this was the young peoples ship and that because I was travelling during spring break it would have been a lot of fun. I've traveled on a Norwegian cruise before and it was an absolute bore because I had no people my age to enjoy my trip with. Honestly some nights it was a great party but it was definitely not what I expected. I know that alcohol isn't included in the ticket price but seriously the prices for a drink on this ship were absolutely ridiculous I didn't want to party at all for the fact that one night alone of it would have bid me completely broke. Also getting food in the night hours is absolutely impossible. Only one area is open which is the pizza restaurant and it will take you at least 45 mins to get TWO SLICES OF PIZZA after waiting in that line and waiting for it to be made. The food on this cruise was a definite let down. You really need to reconsider your chefs for the dining hall Carnival because those taco's didn't taste like taco's at all, and the main kitchens food was either always too cold, too bland or just made me literally sick. The only enjoyable food on this ship is the food you pay for, which my favorites were the Sushi and Italian restaurants.

I did have fun on this cruise but that was mainly because of the people I met and the Sushi haha but not because of the ships amenities.

The ship experience was a nightmare but the excursions were amazing by billief620

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I felt like I was on two different trips here. The experience on the Carnival Breeze was one problem after another. Our room 6240 was HORRIBLE. Buyer beware. Our room is right over the main stage. The walls and floor are not insulated. Our room vibrated heavily with the boom of bass speakers and you could hear every word, song and shouts of the audience every day. We could not even hear the tv the speakers were so loud. This went on for each show or event they had in the main stage. So from 2 pm thru 11:45 pm our room was unusable. We asked if we could be moved and they offered to move us to the second floor at the back of the ship where the engines are. Really Carnival??? At first they didn't offer any other option... but I went back again and continued to complain as this was an "upgraded" room. I was told by the mgr. of Customer Service they are aware of the problems of these rooms but not everyone complains about it. After much complaining and being firm, he agreed to give me 15% discount on the room and a handful of earplugs.  The food was mediocre at best. It was often overcooked and dry... in the dining room our side dishes came after we finished our main course. We asked for before dinner cocktail that always came after the main course as well. It was hard to find a staff member on board to help you. The pool waiters would often times walk right past us even though we were waving them down. After 9 pm it is impossible to find something to eat. They have one pizza area open and an ice-cream machine that didn't work. The pizza was more like burnt flatbread with little to no cheese or sauce on it. We tried calling room service, waited 10 minutes on hold when we finally gave up. The Breeze has a package where you can drink all you want if you pay 250 extra I believe was the cost... with a 15 drink limit a day..... it was spring break for some college kids so this became more of a booze cruise than an enjoyable relaxing cruise that we had hoped. Between the extremely obnoxious and inappropriate behavior of the college kids and the out of control unsupervised younger pre and early teens the ship seemed to run amuck. there was no staff available or supervising the teen area and one time we had kids running fast around the corner chasing each other. They ran into my husband and I almost knocking me over. They laughed and ran on with no concern. When we complained to staff they said a quick well practiced sorry about that and went on their way. The staff seemed as if they were overwhelmed and unattached to the job. I truly felt they could care less if you were there or not. Customer service was nonexistent on the ship.

The excursions were wonderful. We booked them in advance through Carnival. We did a different excursion each day. I must say Jamaica was very disorganized and it seemed they didn't know how to gather and get the excursions going. but once we did get to our destination we had a great time. In Grand Cayman we did the swim with the dolphins and swim with the Stingray tour. There were far to many people there but once we got anchored. OMG what a wonderful time swimming with the stingrays. My favorite was Cozumel.. we did the secret underground rivers and caves of the ancient Mayan Indians. We swam, walked and crawled through the caves with the rivers... This was truly breathtaking and became an amazing tour with a wealth of education and amazing sites. I totally recommend each of those excursions. You will not be sorry. The rivers was a little hard as your footing was slippery and you had to step over stalagmites and carefully step around things.

What....Oh Cruise, where have you been all my life? by revyates5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was an amazing week! the Carnival Breeze is fun, friendly, accommodating and beyond my expectations. We were first time cruisers, and my husband is in an electric wheelchairs, so we had some huge reservations. However, were blown away with the ease of accessibility, the amount of help and consideration we received from the staff & crew. Our room was ready early, and our power chair(we rented one from an accessibility company) was there when we arrived.

Upon arrival, we were guided through the process with help to assist us to our cabins, answering any questions or concerns we had. We did not have one negative experience. My husband enjoyed the shows, the movies, the decks and the independence!

Like to eat? The food is beyond words. Many different kinds, and dining experiences. Love to explore? You will not be bored with all the planned activities and excursions. Love to be pampered...then you will simply love the Spa 9 Experience. We are already planning our next cruise.

Love, Love, Loved it!!

10th Wedding Anniversary Cruise by rmcd644

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Love This was a great 1st time cruise for my wife and I as we celebrated our 10th Anniversary. We had the 6 day Western Caribbean Cruise - Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel Mexico. It was a blast and the ship was like a giant hotel and entertainment center on water. The food was great, the service was exceptional and the experience was amazing. Broadway caliber musical revues, hilarious comedy shows and formal dining was wonderful but sitting out on our balcony enjoying blue seas and picturesque sunsets while enjoying a good book was to die for. We will be planning another cruise in the near future. Thank you
