Review summary

This was an incredible cruise with wonderful Ports to visit and I would repeat the same itinerary and ship. The ship is a little older but has been refurbished so the surroundings are updated. It's just has a little vibration problem.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
nice to have some of the pay restaurants open for breakfast & lunch at no charge

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
had lots of fun at trivia * go early to get a seat at the shows - they fill up * enjoyed the free galley tour * enjoyed the art auctions * enjoyed our sea days at the back of the ship where there was a quiet area and pool to enjoy the view

Internet Cafe

4 out of 5

the internet was good because I could get it from my room but for those who needed a computer, the internet café was great * unfortunately there were a few days at the end of the cruise that there was no internet connection at all due to technical problems

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Movies Under The Stars

5 out of 5

we loved the movies under the stars * there were good choices and if you didn't get to seem them under the stars, they would play in your room the following day on the TV

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
layout was fine * being an old ship it tended to be pretty noise & had alot of vibration but it wouldn't keep me from cruising on that ship again * self service laundry was nice to have available * the interior rooms were spacious and had a great layout and large closet space for hanging clothes * the floor we were on was not accessible to all of the decks so we just walked up or down a flight

Ship tip

this ship seems to have very nice itineraries so take advantage of them

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
you could still see some of the damage from the hurricane * we just walked around the port becasue we had been there several other time do do the shopping for gems etc.

St. John's, Antigua

4 out of 5
excursion included Shirley Heights military complex - worth going to see the incredible view over the English Harbor- entrance fee into the park is not included in the tour but our guide just collected it at the entrance * visited Nelson's Dockyard which we enjoyed * beautiful coastal scenery on the way to Valley Church Beach - they had a small food stand and a changing house to use for changing into swimsuits *

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
just walked around the port because we had been there before and took a tour from a local taxi which was well worth the time

Fort-De-France, Martinique

4 out of 5
did a self walking tour whcih included the town, the park, a beautiful architechtural library, state house, hotel de ville, a gorgeous church, local vendors & beautiful waterfront views - all were an easy walk from where the ship was docked

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
we were there on a Sunday so the whole town was closed so we walked along the seacoast which was pretty and shopped at the port where there were tons of specialty shops visit * the full day tour is recommended which we had already done on a prior cruise

Port of Spain

3 out of 5
we just stayed at the port and did shopping - wasn't sure about safety doing a walking tour on our own

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
this is a charming port * we took a tour on this visit which we enjoyed but have also on past visits just loved walking over to the town throught the Fort and watching the bridge move for incoming boats * It's a little bit of a walk from the pier but on the way there are higher end shopping then you walk through the Fort where there's more shopping and on the the older part of the picturesque town

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
our last visit we did a day tour which we enjoyed very much to the aloe factory, the highest point on the island, the farthest point of the island to the California lighthouse & Arashi beach * this time we just hopped on a local bus to the beach * there are local vendor stands as you exit the dock
