Review summary

Having never visited the Caribbean this cruise gave us a good sample of what it has to offer. The ship was bigger than the one we had sailed on our Panama cruise. We definitely prefer the smaller ships. As far as service and attitude of the staff, we could not have asked for more attentive and pleasant encounters.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Overall food was very good. The layout of the buffet on the Caribbean Princess does not flow well. Salad related items are not all together. Condiments are scattered among sections. It all tends to make passengers scramble from one section to another rather than following the line. We were disappointed that "Happy Hour" has been discontinued. It did not stop us from having a drink or two in the evening. We were disenchanted with specialty restaurants on our last cruise so we do only the burger and pizza places in addition to MDR and buffet.

Ship tip

Be prepared to deal with a lot of people especially if you have previously cruised on the Island or Coral.
