We booked our time dining for the same time each night and were able to sit at the same table and have the same wait staff each night. Definitely worth the time to do this. Although it would have been nice to do it all online. I had to call and have help.

We booked my time for dinner. it was perfect timing for us. The dinners and atmosphere was excellent, we even meet some new friends. Brilliance of the Sea is a great experience for us and I would hope to sail with Brilliance again.

We wound up booking the same My Time table (for eight in our case) at the same time for most nights. For us it worked well.

Book your shore excursions early, there are discounts available on many of the excursions if you book ahead of time.

Older ship, but great non-the-less. Met our expectations. Only draw back to an older ship was that they do not offer a digital photo package unless you purchase all pictures and then pay an addition $100 to have them burned onto a CD. Wish the ice cream machines were on all day.

I've been on the new Anthem ship and it was super crowded all of the time. There were crazy lines for everything. I booked this cruise mainly for the port of calls. Brilliance is a smaller and older ship and less crowded fewer lines for everything which make the whole cruising experience much more pleasant.

I would NOT recommend that you cruise on this ship unless the ports of call are somewhere you really wanted to go on a vacation.

Smoking permitted everywhere in the casino. Why can't there be a separate section for smokers? It's quite unpleasant Additionally, the staff in both dining room and buffet were persistently reminding us that they wanted to have a good review on the performance survey. It was a major turn-off to be bothered by some staff with whom we had minimal contact

If you sail out of Barcelona please be aware that the Duty Free Shop is never open. My wife and I did not find out about this until the ship had sailed. We asked a number of staff why this area was not open. We were never given a definitive answer. This information was not given prior to the cruise. The other annoying thing was when you purchased any item at the shops on board the price displayed was not he price you paid. TAX was added on. Being a British Citizen we cannot claim Tax back.
