I recommend the balcony room, best bang for your buck, it is the same size as a mini-suites on other cruise lines.

If they're trying to work out the kinks wait several years before taking a trip on this ship. They're extremely understaffed and should be embarrassed to run without fully trained personnel. Staff didn't know how to give directions around the ship or anything going on beyond what they were doing

Book everything before sailing as restaurants book up fast and so do excursions. Get there early to embark as getting into the terminal is impossible after 10am. Make sure you print out your seapass in advance.

- need to fix the dining reservation system although the staffs, who do not create the problem, were trying very hard to please the passengers. - need to prohibit (electronic cigarette) smoking and reinforce the smoking rules in public areas and balcony.

Book all your eating time reservations, shore excursions and show times in advance. Without reservations before hand it will be difficult to find a time.

Book ALL of your onboard reservations before you go - Northstar, RipChord, restaurants, shows. Even with a reservation, people were waiting an hour or more for their tables. Ask to have the daily gratuities removed from your statement and decide at end if and what you will be tipping. Don't go.

* The North Star is a lot like a glass elevator - we thought it was much cooler to watch it move from the deck, than it was to be inside of it. (We're not big fans of heights.) * WATER SHOES are important if you want to get in the water on the islands. * Not all activities are open when scheduled.

Be prepared to walk a lot, not because the ship is big, cause the cut of ship isn't people friendly and wasn't designed well. You'll see!
