Very Relaxing by 2scott2connie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Everything was well organized.  I encourage passengers to book their dining as soon as possible online because the complimentary restaurants get booked very quickly and then you are left with having to go to dinner very late (9 pm or later) or just going to the Windjammer marketplace.  Also sign up for Rip Cord by ifly asap.  Flow Rider was a great experience.  It was difficult to find a quiet spot other than my stateroom to read as even the library had rude loud people come in and take over.

BEST CRUISE EVER!!! by specialj04

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

I would highly recommend this cruise.  The service is impeccable.  The Anthem of the Seas is very modern.  We had balcony cabins in the middle of the ship which were rather spacious. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and modern.  The room was efficient.  The luggage process was the best I've ever experienced.  Harry our housekeeper was friendly and very good at his job, in fact the entire staff of waiters,  maître d's,  bartenders and everyone I encountered was extremely helpful, caring and kind.  It made for a better cruise experience.  We had the dynamic dining package which made the cruise even more enjoyable.  The restaurants, food and especially the service was first class all the way.  Many activities, great bargains, shows and a huge club with the best D.J.  This is a first class ship.  They got it right!!

firs time to the cruise, room is clean and modern. Since this cruise ship is new from 2015. The dining experience is great, services from the staff is above 4 stars.

only disappointed is the " I Fly ", reservation is 4:40pm, we have four people showed up at the door at 4:45pm, and the staff can't let us join in the reservation. this activities is open all day long, reservation of 5 minutes can't let us in?

Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

FAntastic itinerary, beautiful ship, wonderful and personable staff and  exception able excursions booked from our travel agent . I give the food on ship. 4 instead of a 5. Didn't think the food was exceptional especially at the main dining venue The Grande!

Great ports / disappointing ship by catefam

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: North America

Well let's start with the positive, the ports. My personal favorite was the bay of Fundy trail it's an absolute must do the park is newly opened and is truly a hidden gem there were so many things to see and do you should really research before you go.  The ship for me was a personal disappointment I didn't find anything great about it. To start with the food was inedible, my husband couldn't eat the meat portion of his dinner on about four occasions. I'm a vegetarian and  there was only one choice per restaurant. So if you didn't like what they were offering you were pretty much out of luck unless you wanted to go to the Windjammer Café upstairs.  The entertainment was good, the shopping with subpar a lot of cheap goods. Personally I will never go on anthem of the seas  again, I've been on other Royal Caribbean ships that I enjoyed much better.  Also I don't know if it was the timing or this particular cruise but the median age was probably around 68, there were a lot of scooters wheelchairs and walkers just thought it was worth a mention hardly any kids on this cruise .  I'm in my 50s and I felt like a spring chicken😊

Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We've been on close to 20 cruises in our life...this was the worst organized cruise we've been on.  Dining was a nightmare!  The crew were very good.  The entertainment was for the most part terrible..three , that you had to sign up for and two were just ridiculous!  What happened to the early or late show, and a different show every night?!

Excellent service and onboard activities by Dpaycheck

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Restaurant menus and choices were above average. Didn't necessarily like the reservation concept of Dynamic Dining but believe this is being addressed in the future. Ship activities were fun and plenty ranging from Ifly, bumper cars, and surf and boogie boarding.

Anthem of the Seas by mrsgobozy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We had a great time on this beautiful new ship.

Check in was fast. Went right to our stateroom. Category D8 with a balcony at the aft of the ship. Spacious room with all the amenities. Our room steward met us on day one and fulfilled our requests daily and kept our room in order.

We were signed up for Dynamic Dining and had to make some changes to our original reservations. The staff in the dining rooms were amazing to accommodate whatever overflow and confusion that came about. We prefer a main dining room and are glad that Dynamic Dining is being discontinued. We also went to the Windjammer (buffet) and enjoyed the wide selection for  breakfast, lunch & dinner. There's a great view from the two 70 at the back of the ship. You can get breakfast and lunch there, too. Spectra's Cabaret and the comedy show also appeared there.

We did see a great headliner show, Savannah Jack, and The Gift and We Will Rock You in the main theater.

We went up in the North Star in the port of Boston. A must do. Be sure to go on the bumper cars. So much fun!

Our favorite part of this cruise was the band Rock the Boat in the Music Hall. They are awesome and their entertainment will not be forgotten. We bought their CD and a t-shirt, too. Love

Loved this Cruise And Ports of Call by julmor71

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was our first cruise on this ship and our first time in Canada and New England. We had a wonderful time and recommend this cruise to all our friends and family. The ship is beautiful and clean. The staff are friendly. The restaurants had excellent service and the meals were tasty. There were many negative reviews and it made me nervous but we were really pleased. My only complaint is that you cannot get decent food after the main restaurants are closed. Last seating is 9:30. There is a pizza place and a place to get sandwiches. Both are so bad I could only eat there once. I know that all cruise lines have cut back on late night food but at least make this food edible and give more variety. We loved the ports and enjoyed our excursions. One warning is that "The Best of Bar Harbor" excursion does not stop at the top of Cadillac Mountain for pictures. It goes around it but not to the top. We had called before booking on line and asked about it stopping there and were told yes and so were other passengers but we were told by the tour guides it does not stop or even go to the top. The 5 of us complained to Shore Excursions when we returned to the ship and were refunded 20%. We appreciate their acknowledging our disappointment. We booked the whale watching out of Boston and it was cancelled because the water was too rough. We got our money refunded and I was very glad for that so we took the duck boat tour and had a great time. I recommend seeing Peggy's Cove, the Bay of Fundy and St. Maarten. I would go back to all of our ports of call in the future. This trip was well worth it.

A Successful and Wonderful Trip on the Anthem! by girl993

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

My husband and I have been on 5 other RCCL cruises and ships.  While we were a little put off by the need to make a reservation for everything on board, once on AOTS we were able to get any and all entertainment booked.  Our stateroom attendant Isha (Deck 12) we superb and did an excellent job. We felt that the food quality was the highest on any of our sailings.  Our waiters Ignacio (Table 118) and his assistant Andy did a great job and we really enjoyed their company.  We eagerly await our next cruise with RCCL in February of 2018!

After the Cruise by downsouthhvac01

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Favorite part of the cruise was the spa. Having dinner at different restaurants every night was not so good. Wait staff was not attentive to your needs. I like having the same wait staff every night. The shows were not suitable for every audience. Need to have shows for every audience.

Too many logistics to deal with after getting on the ship by twillis7262168

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Anthem of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Nothing really other than being with my family members who went. It was frustrating to have to deal with getting a reservation for Spectra and working on dining details AFTER we got on the ship.  It took us about two days to get things settled enough to enjoy ourselves.  On previous cruises we just boarded the ship and didn't have to do anything else regarding shows and dining.  Also, for the first time on a cruise the ship felt crowded.
